Thoughts on 1/2 way around eternity band?

I have the half eternity style also, and the reason I chose that was because of something our sales person said: It will be nicer when applying hand lotion because it won't be collecting in the setting when you rub your hands together.

I would absol utely go with the half dia band! First, it can be sized, which usually is necessary as one ages and has children. Secondly, why pay for what you can't see? And, finally, it will keep you from damaging/losing any dia during everyday wear and tear. I always wanted a large baguette eternity ring but "settled" on a half band. I have NEVER been sorry. I know it's a lot of money, but if you can swing it, get the one in your picture. It will match your ering beautifully!

This is a picture of a 3/4 ctw band set in 18kt gold. they are rounds and baguettes. the setting (i love the way it is set , as seen from the side) I bought it online and love it. Very reasonable wholesale price. PM me if you would like me to send the link. It did not cost anywhere near what you are looking at. 7 day return policy also. The ring closest to my pear is an antique
1/2 eternity set in platinum and yes, it does turn .

i had the choice of getting a full or half eternity and I chose 1/2
why?

1) because full eternity bands are hard to size:thinkin:
2) you and those around you mainly look at the TOP part of your hand with the centre stone...
do you raise your hand up when you show your diamond? or place them down? :amuse:
3) full eternitys cost more
4) think of all the task you do, and imagine the diamond below your hand getting grimey & collecting all the dirt
5) think of all the diamonds on the bottom hitting places you put your hands on.
*:yucky: tiny diamonds falling off*

Both my wedding and anniversary bands are half eternity and I love them. They didn't cost anywhere near as much as the ring posted by OP either. Having said that it is a beautiful band! If you like it OP, then go for it.

I have two half diamond bands and I have tried a couple of full bands but really didn't enjoy wearing them - weird, I know, but I prefer just having the smooth gold band underneath. I worry about knocking them around and them getting grotty.

I haven't ever had a problem with the rings turning on my finger - ? would this be a sizing issue maybe?

Back for an update! :) DH said that I could get TWO bands... so I ended up getting the Tacori 1/2 eternity band AND a darling little Beverley K diamond stacking band!!! Love, love, love.

Love how your wedding band looks with your e-ring OP. Good job. I am glad you are happy with the result.

I personally went with the full eternity band for both my e-ring and wedding ring, but my fingers are very small and tend to spin, so the full eternity was important to me.

Way to go, OP! Looks stunning on you!

Swanky, your rings are just T.D.F. :faint:

I thought I wanted an eternity band when I needed a larger-sized ring during the last pregnancy and didn't want to resize (again) my original set. But a half-eternity was the way to go. I wear my ring all the time, so I like that the diamonds aren't in danger of getting damaged. Plus, I like being able to spin it to the gold side if I don't want to flash my pretty chanel-set diamonds at everyone. Looks more modest. Recessionista, if you will!
