Thoughts on 1/2 way around eternity band?

Gorgeous pic, love the stackables!

I have a 1/2 eternity band as my wedding band and love it. It doesn't really turn much. We also went this route due to pricing. I was able to get really nice diamonds rather than less quality diamonds and a full band. Down the road, I do plan on getting a full band as a RHR. I think with that ering though, a 1/2 would be perfect. You don't want to take away from the ering (that's another reason why I got the 1/2.)

I have a half eternity band that matches my engagement ring, and I never wear it as it turns on my finger. I have 5 all-the-way-around eternity bands that I wear instead, and switch them out depending on what I'm wearing and what kind of mood I'm in. Although sizing could be an issue, I much prefer true eternity bands. I buy them a half size bigger than I would a half eternity, just in case.

This was Bev K's thinnest one I could find, I think it's the one you pictured{?} It's my favorite of all mine, it's just SO delicate looking, I love it!

Oh Swanky, I LOVE IT!!!! The Bev K ring I pictured was the thinnest one I could find from Bev K. I think it's 1.2mm. And, how I would love to get some more Bev K rings and stack them up on days that I don't want to wear my e-ring.

Do you think I could go for the WG even though my e-ring is PLAT? That would save me some $$$ then I could eventually get more of them. I adore your rings!!

One more question. Do you think it would look okay if the wedding band is thinner than the e-ring? I think it would look pretty.

oh, good point. obviously if that's a concern, then i definitely wouldn't go the online route, but from what i've heard, buying online is a great deal cheaper than in a brick & mortar store. i imagine it has to do with the overhead.

I would be fine w/ordering from an online store, so long as I could return it. That's my only concern w/ebay is that I couldn't return it if the ring doesn't work out.

Ahh... see that's what I'm afraid of w/the 1/2 band.

I love the idea of the 5 eternity bands to mix and match depending on your mood. Such a great look!

My e-ring is a Tacori-inspired design done by my jeweler with a princess cut center stone and pave. For my wedding band I was going to go with pave all the way around (that is what Tacori showed with this type of setting), but it just wasn't me! I ended up going with three round bar set stones and had the jeweler pave down the sides to where the pave stopped on my e-ring.

I was thrilled with the result. But, alas, the wedding band did spin around a lot and too often I looked down and it looked like I was wearing a plain platinum band! I was not happy about that. So I went back to my jeweler and had him solder the rings together. Also, my e-ring would often spin since my finger is small (size 4.5) and the setting was top heavy.

The soldering completely stopped the spinning problem and I just love it. Just know that soldering is always an option.

Oh and I too adore eternity rings and on my right hand I usually wear stackable eternities. I have 2 diamond 1 carat rings, 1 black diamond 1 carat and a pink sapphire and diamond eternity. Love full eternity bands. If my fingers were longer I would stack on 10 of them! I can only fit those 4! And, like barcreperie my stackable eternities are a half or one size larger.

canyongirl, the price on that seems like A LOT!

my vote would be for the half-eternity... i too thought i wanted an eternity band, but when i went to try them on, the diamonds hitting the sides of my fingers really bothered me. it just wasn't comfortable!

so i ended up going with a 5-stone wedding band... i have small fingers and all 5 diamonds cover the top of my finger and has the "look" of an eternity band.

it also used to spin a lot, especially in the cold, and it really bothered me! so i went to my jeweler and had 2 shots placed on the inside, to make the ring more snug... surprisingly, with how they are placed, they hold the ring centered in the middle also, so no more spinning!

Designing Style - Your ring is so pretty and unique. Nice idea w/the wedding band.

carlinha - I know, the price is soooo steep. That's been my major dilema. I could get 4 eternity bands for the same price as the 1 Tacori one. I am leaning towards either getting the 1/2 eternity band, or maybe just getting a simple antique-style (probably Beverley K) eternity band that goes with my ring but doesn't exactly match.

Thank you all for your advice/feedback.
