I recently got a new e-ring setting and now I'm deciding between wedding bands.

My e-ring is this Tacori style:

I was thinking a full eternity band would look pretty, but I'm trying to rationalize the price. It would be $5190 (.48 tcw).

Or $2890 for the 1/2 way around band (.18 tcw).

What are your thoughts? Do any of you have a 1/2 way round diamond band? Does it drive you crazy that it turns all the time and you have to constantly turn it upright?

Thank you for your help!!! :)

I know it's not what you're asking, but $5200 is a LOT for that, actually both seem overpriced{?}
You can get a full eternity for much less than that.

^ I know they are WAY overpriced. :amazed: I've been shopping around.

I think one reason these are so pricey is because there are 3 rows of pave diamonds (it's hard to tell from the pictures) and they are platinum. The diamonds are VS clarity and G color. Even still, the total carat weight is practically nothing. When I heard the price I was shocked. That's why I've been considering the 1/2 way band. I just don't know if I'll be happy with it.

Another option I've been considering is getting a different brand that has the antique style of my ring. I'm okay if the ring doesn't match perfectly (I kinda like that), but so long as it looks good.

I found this one from Beverley K, but in platinum it would be around $2,000.

And, it's 1.2mm and my ring is 2.2mm, so I'm not sure if that would look good.

HOly crap! I like the idea of the matching half eternity but that is REALLY pricey. But having the Tacori one that actually matches AND lines up...that's what I would probably go with despite the ludicrous price.

I have a half eternity and it does not really spin much unless it's REALLY cold out and even then it doesn't move around as much as my ering. Since you are looking at a matching set, if having them totally lined up constantly will bother you you'll need to solder them.

i was thinking the exact same thing.

OP, have you thought about looking for eternity bands on ebay? i know it seems unconventional, but i have seen some gorgeous rings on there for really half the price. if you ever did go that route, be sure to buy from a reputable ebay seller who is clearly a jeweler and with glowing feedback. you would always be protected by paying with paypal. just something to consider.

even at that price, pave diamonds are still basically small chip diamonds. i have seen larger stones for that price that's an eternity band.

like swanky said, i know you didn't specifically ask this, but i thought it would be good for you to have another option.

^ Thanks for your feedback. I have looked on ebay, but it's hard to tell if the rings will look good w/my e-ring once I receive them. I'm afraid I will buy something and it not match up well. I know the price would be good, but I'm nervous about the risk of not liking it.

oh, good point. obviously if that's a concern, then i definitely wouldn't go the online route, but from what i've heard, buying online is a great deal cheaper than in a brick & mortar store. i imagine it has to do with the overhead.

I have that and I LOVE it. I think it's the same one, let me see if I have a pic. . . .

This was Bev K's thinnest one I could find, I think it's the one you pictured{?} It's my favorite of all mine, it's just SO delicate looking, I love it!
