Thin JUC warped/flipped/separated?

I recently got one, and there are pros and cons.
Pros:
-It is so comfortable and lightweight, the regular size digs in a little bit at the nailhead (since it has to be a bit more fitted so the weight of the nailhead does not make it swing around).
-I can wear it all day and go running with it and never notice it.
-I think it looks more well-proportioned on my small wrist and certainly better for stacking.
-It is quite affordable.
-Over the course of a few days I thought it was warped at first when I looked down at it, but then I realized that sometimes the two sides will flip over each other and you just flip them back (it’s hard to explain, but you cross the head and tail to the opposite sides and then it lays normally again).

Cons:
-For me it does get caught on things, while I don’t have this problem with the regular size. This is because the tail is secured to the head after a couple of cm on the regular size JUC, but it is a continuous circle on the small. I noticed it would get stuck inside the sleeve of a knit sweater a few times, but that is easy to avoid if you are careful when dressing/undressing/pushing up your sleeves. The thing that was harder to control was the fact that I woke up several times at night with my wrist fastened to my knit bed sheets because the JUC had turned around and handcuffed me to the bed. So I have to take it off for sleeping, which I suppose most people do anyway.

Another pro is that Cartier’s after-purchase care is above any other brand in my experience. Any time I have ever had an issue with an item, even if it has happened once, they have taken it back and either repaired it for no cost or completely replaced the item.

So I would say go for it! Just perhaps don’t wear it to bed

Thank you! Do you think wearing an exercise wristband that covers the JUC at night when sleeping can help prevent it from snagging? Just trying to find ways to wear this 24/7 :) it should also be ok I assume to wear it in the shower?

Yes, I think that will work perfectly. I wear it in the shower without any issues at all.
I have tried multiple types of wristbands (mostly for keeping stacks in place while running), and I like these a lot. They are slim fitting, but not too tight. There are different color options also. Of course, any type of wristband will work as well.

My question is "but why?"
No need to wear it to bed or in shower. My jeweler has always advised me against wearing jewelry to bed or in shower if it's easy to remove. Wearing jewelry to bed can weaken posts, get caught etc... in the shower it will accumulate soap scum and films...
This bracelet is so easy on/off, I ask again, why! lol

I completely agree and don’t understand the obsession with wearing jewelry 24/7. I understand that some people worry about damage from taking it on and off, but there is potential damage from sleeping on it at an angle, getting it caught on something, etc. I can’t sleep or shower with any jewelry on.

I was doing my research in this forum and read somewhere (can’t seem to find it anymore) that taking it on/off multiple times a day (shower and bed) everyday can loosen the hinges. I’m not sure how accurate that is but I would love a very low maintenance bracelet like the love that I can just wear 24/7 at the gym/shower/bed worry free

There are no hinges on the small version. The regular/bigger version has hinges. The smaller version is malleable and sort of just bends on/off. :)

Oh perfect! So there shouldn’t be any damages then taking it on/off everyday?

No hinges, take it on/off all day everyday if you wish! lol

Nothing is bullet-proof so we cannot guarantee that nothing will ever happen to your bracelet. Based on experiences of many people on the forum (including mine), the small JUC is not as fragile as originally portrayed by some. I wear mine every day, barely know it is there as it is that comfortable. It is not unbreakable, though. No bracelet is.

I had mine for three years (wore everyday but took off everyday too) and it got slightly uneven but I took it in and Cartier fixed it for free. Looks brand new. I wouldn’t worry as it is an easy fix should anything happen. I also have an IG page with the same handle and have pics and videos of what I mean if you want to check it out. I have a separate “Cartier stories” section too.

Kind of odd - for a few weeks I could have swore mine had gotten "loose" (in between the nail head and the bottom part of the bracelet) but now it's totally back to normal on its own. i only take mine off when i wash my hair (keep it on for body showers, and when i sleep).

Thanks for the link Nicole.
Is this wrist band good to cover the Perlee clover bracelets and/or vintage Alhambra bracelets also when doing more movement with your arm? If not, what style wristband do you recommend?

:flowers: Again for all your expertise!

Yes, I used to wear a tighter style meant for wrist support/injuries but they were a bit tight to get over the hand and too sporty looking. I also tried wrist bands, but even the child size is too loose usually and doesn’t hold the soft bracelets in place. This one works for me so far for bangles and soft bracelets for exercise, including Perlee clover and Alhambra. I also think I will use them for cooking, because I rarely wear my more delicate Alhambra stones since I love to cook and fear a splash on them. They come as a large set so there are more than enough to spare :)
