For my multi pochette it not visible nor can I feel it. I don’t know how big or small the chip is..I would imagine they don’t want to make it visible due to ruining the design of the bag and for security purposes..

Yes well that makes sense. :smile: I though there might be a little plaque like Chanel or something similar but I guess it will make it harder for counterfeiters now which is good. Thanks so much. :heart::flowers:

You’re welcome! :smile:I tried finding it on my sunglasses case and couldn’t find it there either. I am guessing they want to make it generally hard to find. You can download the app and get a general idea where it is or know that it is there…

Oh, sorry, the Madeleine is not on the pic :(

The chip is hidden, I can't even identify it by touch. But you can find the chip when you move your phone (with the app) very slowly over the parts of the bag - so you know where it is, when the app finds it. I guess it depends on the bag and material, but my phone did not show the chip by just holding it somewhere near the bag. I had to move it around.

I completely understand how you feel. No one deserves that kind of treatment. Definitely try a different store and/or SA. In the meantime, if it is mainly the date you are after, look on the piece of paper that came with the bags. The one with the QR code has the date listed as the first few numbers.

I searched all the papers I received with the bag, but there is nothing like yours. There is one with the QR code, but unfortunately there are no numbers on mine. I bought the PM online in Germany, and it came from France, perhaps they do not have the same papers with the goods everywhere?

It could very well be variable inconsistencies across different countries or factory of manufacturing. It is a fairly new massive overhaul to the whole process so maybe some factories are adapting slower/faster than others which explains why some date stamp codes are still trickling through. I did take my original pic down - no need making it easier for copycats out there.

Thank you so much for this information. I have just installed the app. I am going all over my bag and still can't find it. The Empriente leather is very thick and quite puffy so I don't know if this is not allowing me to find it or it's just me. :smile: I bought online from LV as I don't have an LV store in my city. I wish I did then I could go in and they could find it for me and at least I know where it was. Oh well I will keep searching or I might even ring LV to see if they can help. Thanks again. :heart: :flowers:

With the app and your phone go really slow and close to the bag to find the chip. Sometimes I move my phone up and down around the item because I am not sure where my phone is reading it from , if that makes sense. You really have to scan the item and move the phone around to find..

Thank you so much again. I have gone over it so many times. It must be hidden well in this one. I got out my new key case and found it easily. I'll go over it again. Your help has been great. :heart: :flowers:

I’ll bet he suspected your bag was pre-owned and that this was your attempt to validate its authenticity.
