I was very fortunate to purchase my 3rd Cassie (Black) from Coach.com this week. What could be better---30% off and 12% rebate from Rakuten. I was so delighted.
Today, I received my bag...after watching so many unboxings on YouTube...I could not wait to open up my 1st package from Coach.com.
I am so disappointed---the Cassie I received had one piece of tissue paper wrapped around her. All protective packaging had been removed, including the plastic over the hardware. There was no care card and the strap was stuffed (not rolled) inside the bag. Now, the strap has at least four or five big bends in it. And, the glazing is cracked at the attachment point of the flap. Could this possibly be a customer return?
I also received one of the two $25.00 chain straps that I ordered. It was wrapped in tissue and placed in a gift box within the large box. What gives...it was obvious more time and effort was made packing the extra chain strap than the bag. Lastly, I did not receive a receipt or a packing slip.

I'm so sorry to hear of your terrible experience! This is definitely not what one should expect, regardless of where it was coming from. I would definitely contact coach customer support and relay this. Hopefully they'll make it right. Keep us posted!
Nope not wrong at all. When I was doing mine another client did one very similar as well.
I'm currently debating customizing that men's pouch with a few pins. I think I'm hooked.

I bought a Cassie in gunmetal and noticed that the paint on the hardware is chipping off and I’m thinking to get a second in gunmetal. I was wondering the same if it’s wrong to have two same bags
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. It sounds like it was a return or maybe even the display model at the store. I would return it as it sort of feels like a used bag if there are already cracks in the glazing.
There's some good stuff in the men's line. Check out the small Rivington. I have black & love it.
So, I did order a second Cassie and gunmetal. It's being delivered today. Interestingly, it's coming from a store, not JAX. I could be wrong, but I tend not to get things from a store unless stock is running low. Just wanted to share in case anyone was on the fence. I do remember when I ordered my first one that the system showed 900 but I'm unsure if that was for just the US.
I don’t think that it’s wrong to have two of the same bag, but usually in different colors. If the chipping on the hardware bugs you now, how would the chipping on the hardware of two bags make you feel? Personally I’d be inclined to exchange the current bag in hopes that it was a fluke and the new one doesn’t chip. Rather than invest money into a second bag that also may end up chipping and have two bags I love but feel disappointed about in the quality of the hardware. I don’t expect things to last forever but I do expect it to last more than a month without out showing excessive wear and tear.
I bought the newer black pebbles Parker in black with gunmetal and noticed chipping badly on day 3 of use! When I called store they had me come in and exchange right away....they said the sooner to bring in the better.... and they said they have seen problems with gunmetal hardware before...so I got the Oxblood pebbled instead. Now I do have the chambray blue Cassie.... bought from Nordstrom in Sept and yes, I do see chipping as well and have used her maybe 6 times.... I’m debating on returning to Nordstrom but love her so... as I do adore the suede features..... but my advice is to avoid gunmetal all together
I must get unicorn items because I only do gunmetal hardware (rogues & cassies) & don't have any complaints about it.
Crap. I hope my husband bought one before they sold out. But if not, I guess I don't blame him. He's had his hands full because I've been sick for a full week and he's been trying to play nurse, take care of our son and work all at the same time.
I stopped by my local store today and spoke with my SA about the Cassie 19. She looked it up, and said it’s supposed to be released in Feb. Also that there will be a black, chalk, lake, light fern, and a couple color blocks. I’m so excited to see what the fern and lake will look like.
I hope he managed to get one for you! If not then maybe it'll go on sale again next week during Black Friday weekend. Fingers crossed! And I hope you're feeling better
I'm excited to see how it looks! I really like the size of the current Cassie but I looove tiny bags so I may be tempted lol.
