There is something about Cassie...

I really like the Cassie. I don't even have mine yet! Haha. But it's nice to hear from others who already have it, or the thought processes of those who are considering it.

Please let us know how it functions as a travel bag.

Forgot to tell you: I found it to be the perfect travel bag. The back pocket is big enough for passports and boarding passes (if you are like me and prefer paper boarding passes over electronic ones), I could fit all the smaller things I need during the flight like headphones, mini iPad, sunglasses, etc. Bigger things were inside the tote I took with me on the plane, because we checked our bigger suitcases. And even though I wasn’t overly careful with the bag, there are no scratches whatsoever. And what I liked the most: at no point in time did I have to worry about the bag being too flashy or attracting too much attention. I will take it on my business trip to Paris in two weeks and am looking forward to traveling with it again

Even though the Macy’s website shows it that way they still sell the one with the C on it. I’m thinking maybe the stock photos they are showing are what they were originally going to look like and maybe the design was changed later but they never replaced the photos.

Oh yeah that actually sounds like something that could happen! Good thought! Thank you

Also, I heard that in the US, in some shops it's called Blaise instead of Cassie. So I was wondering if the one with a simple turnlock is called Blaise.

Looking at the photos, I do prefer the one with a C turnlock. It looks proportional with the plain leather, dimensions, and the style of the bag. It makes sense, though, to have a simple turnlock on the canvas version of the bag. Otherwise, it would be too much logo/branding going on.

Nice!!! Thanks for this feedback. It's very helpful!

I used mine yesterday, and I got a lot of compliments and questions (e.g., where did you get it?). I am in a field of work where we don't bring our luxury bags to the workplace. It's just not the norm. But I have friends at work with whom I share my passion for bags. They love the Cassie - and yes, I got the "it looks like my/the pochette metis" comments but in a nice way. They think the quality of the Cassie is similar, if not better, than the pochette metis. I talked about how the Cassie is actually a modern version of a vintage Coach bag (I think it's called Court).

My experience so far with this bag is great! It's elegant and casual, depends on what you are wearing. It has a bit of weight, but just because of the good quality materials (thick leather and sturdy brass hardware). I would not say it's heavy. The only thing that I think I need to get used to is the turnlock. The design of the C is narrow and protruded, and makes it a bit difficult to turn the lock. It's not really a problem, but I find the classic Coach/Chanel turnlock closure easier to open and close.

That's my mini-review for now. :-)
