I just keep a thinking those of those YouTube videos where they're promoting the idea that Coach stole from LVMH. Hahaha. Knowing LVMH, if Coach had really stolen anything from them there would be a huge lawsuit.Cassie is not a Coach original but it is similar to a Coach vintage style, the Court bag. While I do think the Cassie was inspired by the LV PM some would say the PM was inspired by the vintage Court!
I’m wondering if Coach is planning on releasing a Coach Original version of the Court bag and that is why they’re discontinuing Cassie as they are too close.
I think I should have qualified in a bit. In black, the Cassie is a more serious bag. I primarily use the Cassie 19 as a run around bag. However, the Kip is extremely small; it's Coach's interpretation of the tip handle phone crossbody. I've seen them by MK, DKNY, and Kate Spade (?) They actually resemble the vintage Casino bag. I wish they would have brought it back because it's a little more forgiving in its structure. The Kip only holds phone, keys, card case, and hand sanitizer. To be a replacement for the Cassie 19, it needed to bigger.
Oh no I should clarify! I think the Cassie is an awesome bag and I believe that it is a remake of the Court bag if I’m not mistaken. I love seeing it on everyone and I especially love how people customize it. For some reason, on my 5’3 frame, it feels a little big and professional like on me...especially in the color black. I’m an indecisive shopper so take this with a grain of salt lol! I bought the chalk Cassie 19 and exchanged it for the full size chalk during Mother’s Day sale. I had regrets and missed the 19 because it fits my style more but I have so many small crossbody bags (including a tabby 26 in chalk) do I thought that the full size rounded out my collection in a more practical way. I found that I liked the full size Cassie a lot better when I had on heels and jeans etc. and I like the 19 when I’m in flip flops and shorts if that makes sense at all. My dilemma is that I feel silly keeping both Cassie sizes in chalk but it’s the only color that drew me to this bag for my personal style so I’ve been trying to make a decision. I put my beat chain on my full size Cassie last night and oh man I loved it so the struggle is real smh. If you like Cassies and are a Coach fan...Check them out in person and see what you think. I doubt it will be considered trendy. It’s more classic but I’m no expert.

I totally completely get you!!! Makes sense. I feel the same way. I love my Willis and it can looks seriously professional or structure lady like whimsy classic. Lol. It’s all how you dress it up right? We ladies have different vibes we love to rock according to occasion. I think it’s also the whole pebble leather. So I did see it in person. I actually walked in to buy it in chalk and it was not love at all. Fell for the green pillow tabby 26 and usually I only really love the coach originals line. The rambler was on that same line when I bought it and the interior is all leather lined. No fabric. The Cassie (full sized) was smaller than I anticipated. (Compared to my rambler) I love love love the look of the Cassie because I love the court bag. But, not a fan of the pebbled leather. I prefer glove tanned. I don’t care for fabric lining. Love the leather. I adore the handle. The width is less than 2 inches. I prefer 2 and over, closer to 3. I love the look of it. I just wish it was more like the Kip and if the Kip was the same size as the Cassie, I’d be sold! Lol. I know. I am starting to become so much picker about the ones I love and why. I love hand helds. Shoulder / crossbody strap. There is a perfect size for me and that qualifies as basically a medium size bag. These smaller bags drive me crazy. Again I love the look, but at the end of the day so not practical for me. Of my little cutie is already full with no room for my car keys and phone then what the hell? I did something g wrong sizing wise there. I’m not a fan of rejiggering things to fit every time I reach for an item. I know I’m a little weird. Over the years I am learning what I like and what I don’t like. I guess maybe for me the Cassie was better as a view from the sidelines? Maybe I just talked myself out of this bag? I wish it was done a little bit better…
How did they do that? Do you have to ask them? I am intrigued… I love the tea roses and the granite one you have with the feather and stars. Sooooo pretty.
I'm only a titch over 5'3 also! I'm more on the curvy side, so the Cassie works for my body type. I definitely think that bag is more suited to slacks and structured skirts and dresses. I don't think there's sameness with the Cassie and the Cassie 19 i in chalk. They're different designs and each has its function. And if you drawn to the chalk, why not? I'm a New Yorker; I wear a lot of black. And for me, these bags are considered expense. I'm going to go with the color that I'm going to use the most. I do wish they had released to Cassie in British tan in the U.S. although I own the Court in British tan, I don't use it often. The glove tan leather is prone to scratches and water spots. If I have any light colored bag, I'm not going to invest a lot of money in it. New York is a grubby place!
Honestly do we "need" any of these bags? Lol.
I'm fortunate that my local store has a craftsmanship bar in the one section of the store. If you are in the US, you can see the customization online as well on the Coach website, although the options are more limited. All of my customizations have been done on-site, some as I waited & watched.
Ooh which rambler has all leather lining? I must find. I have these 2, but they have fabric lining.
