There is something about Cassie...

It is a gamble on timing, lol. I wanted the black Basquiat 25 rogue and purchased at 30% off. I didn’t want to risk it selling out. I am interested if it will be cheaper after Christmas.
I agree it depends on the bag and the timing. Some bags do sell out before the discount gets larger. And not everyone has access to double discounts at some of the department stores. I just always feel like if I can save 30 to 40% off on a bag I really want, it works for me. I also get a nicer bag, as often later on they start sending out the returns and display bags, etc.

BTW, I do feel like they play these games with us ..... so we have to play it with them as well.... to see a bag full price Of 350.00 just really introduced this same fall season then to get it for over 200 off is nuts and only Coach does this to us. The quality is crazy for the price..... but to pay full price, even 30 percent off is throwing money away...... I want the new Beat Bag but I’ll revisit her in Feb..... likely mark down no doubt
Coach and Macys put them on sale so often. I won't ever pay full price for anything Coach makes because they have done this for years. I know if I am patient, I can score what I want at a great price. The most I have paid for a Cassie is taupe ($210) because it was only at department stores and Macys sold out when it was on sale at $210. I think Dillards sold out when it was $245. Who knows, it could show up to the outlet. However, with how little I paid for my other Cassies, I effectively paid like $125 for each one (added total and divided it up) so I am fine with that :)
My $105 black Cassie is now back ordered. Wondering if I will even get it shipped eventually.
They originally showed up as backorder when people ordered them on 11/26. They keep selling out and then reappearing. The people that ordered it at "backordered" status ended up getting them shipped a couple weeks sooner than they were originally told (12/23).

Mine is on its way in the USPS. The weather is so terrible; it was expected today. A few days won't matter to me. Just praying for the poor postal and delivery people. (I know it's their job, but still.)
I ordered mine after that 11/26 date. It didn't show up as backordered right away, but was in this strange limbo. Because I wasn't certain of getting it, I went to the Coach website and picked up a Courier wristlet just in case. It's a little more than a $105 Cassie, but beautiful, smooth leather. No scratches. I wouldn't buy that at $250. I have often posted that I refuse to pay full retail for Coach these days. It's not a smack at Coach products, it's just if you know difference between the old vintage pieces and the contemporary revamps, the quality, though good, is not the same. There's nothing like the old glovetanned leather and piping. I was told a long time ago to never buy newer Coach at full price. I was such a good customer that I always had opportunities for private events and coupons. I try to keep it in perspective; it's just stuff. If I don't get something, it's not the end of the world. It just wasn't meant to be. For those waiting on the "special Cassie," I hope it comes to you and in nice shape.

I agree with waiting for sales. I really want the Beat bag but refuse to pay full price. Hope it goes on sale soon. I really like the color block in brown, black, and white. It's actually better its not on sale right now! I have two Cassies and a Lora bag I never use. ;/

Long time lurker, first time posting!

Today I received my $105 black Cassie packaged all brand new too! I also ordered a $75 black Chaise from the outlet around the same time and it still shows "processing".

The Cassie is a beautiful bag and am surprised how much it holds.
That is exciting to know. My black Cassie is shipped and now I wait patiently for it. It will be my 5th Cassie. I think someone needs to take my CC away from me!

Coach just lowered prices on more bags to $150. I see camera bags. I did the Cassie camera listed, but not today. The camera bags are $99. (Thought I had seen the Cassie camera at $150. Not sure.)
I give up with the price wars. I already ordered one bag twice, because they had lowered the price another $80 from sale price--which was pretty good to start with. I saw my bag at another $17 lower today, but too bad. I'm going to return one of the bags (still wrapped, of course.)

I have also ordered a couple novelty straps to try out with my Cassie and other purses. Would love to see pics of different ways to style the black Cassie if anyone has any... do you always match the strap hardware and the purse hardware? One of the straps I have on order has gold hardware and wonder if it's a noticeable difference with the brass hardware on the black Cassie.
