The Worst Hermes Color EVER!?

This!!! I do not understand the appeal! Maybe it is because I have not seen one IRL. Himalayan looks like roadkill color to me in this side of the world (TX).

One the otherhand I have seen matte crocs and alligator IRL and those are SO heavenly. I never thought I would like it matte.

i have seen a number of himalayans in real life in the London H stores, the moldy bacteria looks even worse up close...yikes

Very true about the blue colors recently! In fact, my SA never really tells me the new names, just says it's the new version of such and such blue from last year, lol.

Himalayan croc may be the only H color that I actually don't like. The neon and varying shades of pink/salmon come close to "dislike" when we're talking about a full bag, but the colors themselves are pretty to look at. There are plenty of colors that I'd never carry because they don't look good on me (Gold) or are not very interesting when I see it in real life (etoupe), but definitely no hatred of any of them. They are obviously not Hermes' worst colors ever, that's for sure!

It's interesting to see the change in attitude on tpf towards blue jean. I recall that when I joined tpf, it was the most popular, most sought after color on the forum. I like it more now than I did back then, but it's still not a shade of blue I would ever wear.

agree with every word particularly the bold part!!

:D This is what makes H so wonderful....so many gorgeous colors and great variety.....always something to please! If we all loved the same color/scarves/jewelry, this would be a boring place!:D

so true...!

for me, the least favorite colors are those muddy light brown colors, such as alezan or biscuit, but I love the darker browns such as havanne or chocolat. I also remember a 30 B in ostrich tobac camel that I tried - just like a plucked chicken, yuck :)

My all times favorite color is Black, which might not be a scoop, ;)but I can't really pick a worst one.
It has to be a combination of leather and color... But still, some will look odd under a certain light, and fabulous under another light.

It's so much about where you live and what your lifestyle is, and how you use your bag for.

So no worst color for me.

Ha! :D I love black as well, I bought black Kelly's with minor spec variations,- they look identical to my poor husband, but completely different to me!

It looks like my favourite shade of pink lipstick. Stunning! What is the name of this colour?

I want to know too! I love the muted pinks.
To stay on topic, I have decided that I do not like bleu atoll (it reads powdery to me), bleu Jean (too blue jean!), or bamboo (too Irish (oh, the irony!)) though I love most other blues and greens. Gold and etoupe (and Kraft! Just looked that up) seem dull to me for bags, though I love grays and creams. I like yellow and orange shades, but can't wear them except in small doses. I'm still regret that I didn't let my toddler talk me into an orange gator KDT!

I really don't care for any neon or day-glo colors for a bag but Rose Shocking has to be one of the most awful of the lot, IMO. I always consider H purchases to be investment pieces that will last a lifetime and cannot fathom spending the kind of money H charges for something so loud and trendy. Perhaps for an SLG but not for a 10K+ bag.

Nothing says class like a simple BBK although I do adore H blues as well [Bleu de Prusse and Bleu de Malte are so timeless and elegant].

I do agree !

I have a mixed feeling about bleu orage, I have one PHW kelly 32 in it, not a big fan when I first got it, but it was my first hermes bag ever... Then I was surprised how it just blends into all my winter outfits quietly and perfectly... I think a lot of the Hermes colors are like bleu orage - you just have to give it a try and learn to appreciate the settle elegance. :-) Love Bleu Lin, too.

I am not a big fan of the yellow/orange family, it's just too much for me.

Excellent point. I never used to like Hermes colours, such as clear reds and primary looking blue, yellow or orange. But I love their more complex colours, which I think are very wearable and enhance good clothes, rather than fight with them. That's one of the things I used to love about Chanel, the colours they came up with each season were amazing. That's where you can tell quality at a glance, look at how complex say Chanel metallic is, compared to an inexpensive brand.
