I've had my Alma bb MWT since 2021 and she still looks brand new, considering I've used her a lot! The black leather seems to hold up better than my other LV canvases with black leather e.g my Petit Malle Souple showed rubbing very quickly with minimal use and had all 4 black leather corners replaced within the 1st year. Same for my eclipse trio messenger with black leather.

Thank you everyone! Sounds as if the pieces are good quality, that is so good to hear! I am still a bit hesitant to buy a custom piece in case there is some defect, I just really don‘t want the hassle. But I would really love the alma with the black trim.

This is so interesting! I wonder what difference there is. I am really scared of defects on a custom bag but also really love the world tour pieces, I am torn haha

I just spoke to a "manager" of 8 years at Louis Vuitton customer service to check on my order status, who informed me that the custom patches are hand painted, hence the 6 to 8 week window for completion. How disappointing. These patches are definitely NOT hand painted, I own several pieces. How disappointing, I expected more from LV customer service.

It's definitely some sort of silk screen printing. Definitely not hand painted. It's weird that he said that. Does he speak English very well? Perhaps he meant "handmade"?
