Does anyone own the new version of the classic caviar WOC with turn lock closure? Just watched a You Tube review of it, and it looks exactly like the classic, but the CC is just a smidge larger to accommodate the turnlock. If anyone owns, could you please provide feedback on it? TIA

I get by with what fits just fine. Cards, iPhone 16, AirPods case, lipstick, keys, blotting paper, tissues and a perfume sample. I also hate heavy bags and hope to add more light bags/clutches on chain that fit the basics.

Hi everyone! If I randomly walked into a Chanel store (most likely in NYC) and asked for a classic black woc, would they likely have it for me? Also, what is retail right now?

Thank you for any advice
I went to two boutiques last weekend (US), and they all had multiple black WOCs with gold and silver hardware. My local NM also regularly gets them. The retail price is $3,350.

I've not seen the turn lock WOC in person yet. As someone who tends to stuff it quite full, yes I use it as a BAG, I am worried about stretching out the lock. Hear me out. I have had turn lock purses in the past and it would get to the age or the leather would stretch over time and if I did not put in enough to fill out the bag, almost as if the contents had to put some stabliziler impact on the lock from the inside, I had trouble turning the closure. But I may be overthinking this, a WOC is not large no matter how much I can fit into it.

Hence my personal apprehension of the turn lock version...but yes I still want to see one and try it!

Oo interesting point!
Do you have a magnetic close woc? I’ve only had snap closure ones.

I did ask my NM SA if they have any turn lock ones but said she has not seen it yet.

I have the magnetic closure now, which I prefer to the snap closure as that was cumbersome to close with one hand when in a hurry, and yes when it was stuffed.

Again, I may be overthinking this worry about the turn lock. I use my bags, and am in and out of them throughout the day, more so when out and about. I baby them, yet stuff them. I believe I use them more in a day than the average person.

When I saw this post on the "Celebrities and Chanel" thread on Saturday, I noticed how Princess Kate was holding her square, and there couldn't have been much in it as it was pressed inward. Could be the light on the leather, but I immediately thought of how I've had trouble when I try to use a turn-lock when the contents are slimmer - after I've had it stuffed full for most of it's life. I found this more with smaller bags than larger bags, but probably my fault for trying to carry the SAME CONTENTS despite the size of the bag. I admit it has been years since I last had this problem.

Here is the link, and attaching the picture I copied for reference just in case.

Has anyone else ever had a problem with their larger Chanel turn locks???

I think the turn lock may be easier. The magnetic is great but most of my collection is not magnetic….unfortunately the prices are so way out of line….
I initially liked the idea of the turn lock, but after some thought, I decided that a magnetic closure for something as small as WOC is more practical. Even on classics, it requires a step to open/close the lock; I imagined dealing with a tiny version of it - nope, thanks:no:
