The WoC - Wallet on Chain thread

Hello does anyone else’s wallet on chain look like this? What causes the leather where the chain is to crease/wear down like this? TIA! This is from 2014.

I am guessing that the owner has been shortening the chain under the flap by pulling the chain from the two ends of the leather tube and then tie it together ( like create a hidden loop ).

But the own pulled / tied the chain too tight that it damaged the two ends of the leather tube.

I recently just purchased my 1st WOC and with a base shaper in place, I can fit an iphone max pro with its bulky phone case, key fob, lip moisturizer balm and with room left for maybe another lip product. I do use the card slots and zip compartment for cash, or if I’m feeling lazy, I just shoved all my cards and cash in the zip compartment. I am liking my WOC a lot so far. It’s so light, versatile and pretty too!

I got a base shaper as well and thankfully I can fit more

My first WOC in light pink shiny grain calfskin with silver tone hardwear. I went to look at a blue/grey WOC but spotted the pink and that was it!

As for caviar leather, I can say it's the only product I've fearlessly used in my life, and it hasn't sustained any damage to this day.

Has anyone used this going around Vegas both day and night and it’s been sufficient? I have one and was thinking of using it as my purse in Vegas but unsure. Thanks.

It depends on how much stuff you are used to carrying. For me, a WOC works quite well as a trip bag for day or night. However, I wear very little makeup (no need for a bunch of different items for touchups through the day) and am fine not carrying a huge amount in my bag, so everyone is different!

Yes! Since I don’t need my car or house keys, I can fit everything I need in it. Credit cards, room key, inhaler, lipstick or lip balm, money, phone… It’s my favorite bag for Vegas!

I did and I think it was enough. I was stopping by my hotel after half day to freshen up so I also didn’t need to carry much makeup. You don’t even need a card holder. Just use the card slots. All i carried was my mini compact, lipstick, mini comb. I carried my phone in my pocket.
If you don’t carry much with you then it’s the best bag for Vegas!

Can definitely work for Vegas, or anywhere really. Since I don't need house keys or car keys, just cards, cash and my phone a WOC is my go to whenever I'm on the Strip. My only inconvenince with a WOC is having no where to put my sunnies when I decide to take them off when I'm indoors. Other than that, WOCs are definitely a must have for me.

The Classic Caviar WOC? Mine in beige was $3350 last month.

I don't use a shaper in mine.

I use a base shaper for my WOC for the past 4 years. I haven’t had any issues with the leather or stitching.

Have been using a shaper for a while now and no issues. But I store mine without the shaper in it.
