I haven’t got the mini but I tried on both before making the decision.
it’s one of those super personal choices so just go with what your gut is telling you is perfect. Mini has more space but doesn’t have all the pockets and card slots so just bear that in mind. Some great comparisons on YouTube. Sydney and Melbourne will be getting new stock for all before Christmas but most likely after our next increase.

I have both, but I prefer the WOC. It’s more carefree and looks more elegant when used as a clutch, IMO!

Hello all,
I'm considering purchasing my first Chanel WOC as I've been downsizing my purses heavily throughout the pandemic. I really wanted a Chanel 19 WOC since I feel the normal Chanel 19s are too big and unstructured for my size. However, the chain length is too long on me (5'0 over here). Do any Chanel 19 WOC owners know how to shorten this chain? Is it possible to wrap it underneath the flap like with the normal WOCs or is the chain just too chunky for that?

How often do classic WOCs pop up? I have 2 seasonal WOCs currently, and I'm looking to get a classic black caviar SHW also. I contacted my SAs, and they said there are none currently but can put me on a list for when they come back. I haven't bought any "classics" yet, so I'm just trying to get a sense if I should wait and buy new in store (and risk a potential price increase before that time), or buy a new condition one at current retail price on the preloved market now. Any info or advice is greatly appreciated!

Try a Nieman Marcus! I popped by a couples week back in NJ and they had that exact combo. A couple of them in fact. I’ve heard these outpost boutiques often have more of those “harder to find” pieces if you will. They even had a black mini.

I just bought a base shaper. For me, an insert would just take up more space from the limited space of the woc.

I did originally, since I read that a lot of people do that; however, I started noticing an imprint of the chains in the leather (didn’t see it, but I felt it). Ever since, I store the chain outside the bag and keep an eye on the sides (in case the chain causes an imprint on the sides). Maybe an insert would prevent, but I worry it may stretch out the bag over time; I’ve seen some badly stretched out WOCs on the pre-loved market and I’m trying to prevent that with the two I have.

I also bought a base shaper instead of an insert, and I love it. Maximizes the space inside the WOC, keeps the bottom flat and not saggy, and no issues with storing the chain inside.

I store the chain inside of my WOC without a paper or an organizer. I asked my SA about tips how to store it right and she said, it’s fine like that and I didn’t need to use paper to wrap around the chain or organizer for the chain.
