I've noticed both on the Chanel website, but also on consignment site's and my local Neiman's I don't see the caviar WOC in red anymore, only lambskin. Almost like they don't make them anymore. Were they discontinued?

I'm half tempted to just go with the lambskin, but such a small bag that I'll probably use daily, lambskin might not hold up well over the years.
If you plan to use it often, I definitely would not settle for Lambskin. Keep checking fashionphile.... they don’t have a great selection of wocs at the moment, but I’ve seen a few red caviar ones in excellent condition.

I finally decided that I'm going to purchase my first WOC in the black classic style with gold hardware. But now i'm torn between the caviar and lambskin leather. When i went to see them in store, my heart was leaning towards the lambskin. There's something about the lambskin that makes it look rich and luxurious.
I can live with the inevitable scratches that i'll eventually get with the lambskin but i am worried about the wear and tear of the corners in a couple of years. I've seen pictures of used lambskin WOCs where the leather in the corners and the side of the flap rubbing off.
I just wanted to get your opinion from those who own a lambskin WOC, does this happen naturally to your WOCs with time or am i still able to preserve the look of it if i take extra care of the bag?
Thanks for your help!

I have a black SHW lambskin WOC that's over 10 years old and the corners are intact. There's some slight rubbing on one of the corners, but for the most part it looks good. I definitely think you can preserve the look of it by taking extra care of the bag.

I just ordered this one and am excited for it to arrive, how much was yours? Mine was $2,600 USD at Neiman Marcus. My first WOC, yay! I also like the navy better since I’ll be wearing mine a lot with jeans. How are you liking yours so far?
This is my first Chanel, unfortunately after the price increase.

I picked the dark navy with lighter gold.

I almost got the black + gold combo but didn’t like the look of caviar on that black one. This navy one is with shinier leather & puffier quilt. Hope I made the right decision!

I have these two reserved and I will have to chose...pink is so adorable... but I don’t know if it would look to girlish for my age..

I would go for black. A few years ago I almost bought a pink caviar quilted woc thinking it’s small and would be great as a pop of color. I decided to buy a mini zip coin purse/ wallet in this bubble gum pink color instead. Anyways, Ithink I would have regretted buying that bubble gum pink woc. I’m in my forties now and I still love pink, but I don’t necessarily want a bright pink handbag to be the focal point of my outfit. I have pink bags but they’re more neutral shades of pink. I did buy a red woc and even though I’m more of a pink person, red still feels more like a neutral pop of color and more grown up. This is just my opinion but if you love pink and know that you’ll be able to easily incorporate it into your wardrobe, then go for it. I still love using my pink slg and don’t think I’ll ever get bored of the color.

don’t think about age, go for what you will get the most use out of and loce the most...can’t go wrong either way

You are right! Thank you

I used to have a pink Chanel bag years ago and used it very few times. Maybe it was to big for pink (even though it was a small bag). Pink attracts me so much. But I really should go for black.
Thanks! :flowers:

Wow! That gold woc is gorgeous!!! Can we see your other ones as well? I love the eye candy!

Thank you!

Here’s an old family photo, I’ve added some pieces since then but it shows my WOCs:
