It’s actually navy blue and gold, and yes it’s a functional turn lock. Do you think the look of it, isn’t very classic though, like it might look dated a few years from now?

Although I think it is a classic shape (think square mini), I know what you mean about not being a traditional-looking WOC. It might not turn out to be a “classic” - but I think it’s very pretty and versatile. I could also be the wrong person to ask about looking dated haha because i love vintage bags! I find them super stylish and with so much character

I really want to get a WOC but ive heard issues with strap rubbing underneath flap and peeling, also the snap coming undone? Has anyone not experienced this? Is there a certain style this happens more often with ex. boy, classic etc? TIA!

The current boy WOC has a magnetic clasp, but I have the older boy that has a snap closure and it has never opened on me, even if I load it. Maybe it depends on the individual woc, and how well it was made, seems like it’s inconsistent since each piece is hand made. Trendy woc won’t have issues with the strap rubbing, as it’s a different design in regards to the chain. In terms of the strap rubbing under the flap of the other woc, it does do it, but I haven’t noticed any breakdown in the leather there, maybe just like a slight softening, and not visible from the outside of the bag.

I was wondering if the boy woc was more secure, but I really prefer the classic look. Since you say your old boy woc never opened, it seems its just taking a risk and hoping you get a good one! I am just so drawn to this bag!!

If you love it, go for it. I’m sure if you get a bad one, you can have Chanel repair it. They have a one year warranty, and beyond that, you can still ask them to send it in for repair if needed. Hopefully it’s not needed, but it’s nice to know that there’s a solution if a problem occurs.
