What are your thoughts on using a WOC as an everyday bag?

My daily commute is a train ride to San Francisco where I carry a work backpack and a Prada chain wallet to hold my transit pass, cards phone and slim lipstick.

Would a black caviar WOC hold up to daily use? Or would it be better to save it for evenings out & get a cheaper brand wallet on chain? TIA!

I use my WOC as a daily handbag inside of my LV Neverfull. It carried it everyday since January 2017. Its the black classic cavier with silver hardware. The logo is fading a bit, but I'm overal. very pleased at how it has held up.

I don't carry my classic black WOC everyday, but I do carry it a ton when running errands, traveling, etc., and think you'd be fine. I ride the train into LA a lot when I have to go into the office and usually always carry a mini or WOC along with my work bag.

I posted this in the Chanel chit chat thread also but thought I would post here as well.

Lamb vs caviar?? Ladies, I need your advice!

I'm going to Paris in a few weeks. I want to use a WOC as my main bag for traipsing around the city. I recently got my long-awaited black with SHW in lamb. It's my first lamb piece and I haven't even used it yet. I also have one in black with GHW in caviar.

My question is this...I hear over and over that lamb is NOT so very delicate, but would you advise bringing it on a trip? The silver hardware looks so much better with the blacks & greys I will be wearing, but I am skittish about choosing it over the caviar. I'm trying to pack lightly, so I don't want to bring both.

What do you think?

I’d say go with caviar for your trip :) the last thing you want to do during traveling is worrying whether you’ve scratched your handbag and babying it :D

Thank you, nanads! I was leaning that way. I really always wanted the caviar with silver hardware and the lamb with gold. But as we all know, you get what you can get with Chanel!

Hi Ahiko,

I have the Le Boy WOC in Caviar. I like to use it when running errands as it keeps my hands free and all I usually carry is my phone, credits cards in the slot and keys. I think it should hold up pretty well as long as you don't over-stuff it, although I have seen other's do this with no problem. So far, no scratches on the leather. I have learned to not be overly-obsessive with my bags but I make sure not to bump it into things and of course, set it on the ground or anywhere it can get damaged. It's holding up very well.
