My first WOC - The WOC Boy in Black Caviar from the pre fall 17 collection.

I draw huge inspirations from this thread and finally get to get myself one today. I have a medium and jumbo classic so thought a Boy WOC will add more variety.

I called 6 London boutiques and none of them had it in caviar. The last one I called fortunately has it and when I see her in store; my goodness she's beautiful.

I have many caviar items from Chanel but I absolutely love this new soft matte caviar on the WOC. I feel very fortunate to be able to find this! So beautiful it makes my heart sings!
Congrats! We are bag twins as I too just purchased this a few days ago  It was the last one in the company at Neiman Marcus and I couldn't believe it was still available. The bag is indeed beautiful. Very classy and understated with the matte caviar  Here's mine...FullSizeRender.jpg

I just got this today!!!

Funny enough, I recently ordered this style in the mini and I didn't love it. I adore the Chevron on this WOC though, I think it will be a good casual bag with the darker hardware.

I had 2 minis and returned them since I was not in love with either. I made too many expensive mistakes with the wrong Louis Vuitton bags.

So excited to get this!!!

The style number is A33814Y82258.

I did also get the square WOC. I'll have to post some side by side pics.

Does anyone here own both an older boy WOC and the new version? Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, but I swear the new version with the flap that comes all the way down fits just a tiny bit more inside. I seem to be able to fit my eyeglasses now, whereas with the 3/4 flap WOC, it is more difficult.

Here you go Mia, it's truly stunning, picture does not do its justice. When I was at 31 Rue Cambon, my lovely SA showed me the display bag which was 4 days old, the Color looks more purple than its fresh out of the box. ( we even took the bag outside to see it's true Color) He said it will look like that with use.
The chain has a very matt finish.

Also worth to mention that the caviar is more refined than its usual texture.

Omg this is such a beautiful woc!

Does anyone know how well the WOC holds up? I've seen a few older bags with the top corners bent upwards, possibly from supporting the chain (the bag's top edge becomes curved rather than flat). Is this a common issue? Are there any other spots where wear/age shows?

This is my first WoC so I'm curious, is it normal for the edges of the chain to be this raw? View attachment 3777609

For those that are curious about the WOC chain - I checked all 5 of mine and they all have raw edges - smoothness varies by leather used. My maroon caviar WOC had a similar look as yours in the beginning but I think they smoothed out a bit after wearing and moving chain thru tube that holds it on bag.

A lot of the boy WOCs that have come out lately have the flap go all the way down, but I don't think they're necessarily switching to that style permanently. I think those things just go back and forth.

My one boy WOC from last summer has a 3/4 flap.

Glad to hear that yours with the long flap can fit more!

I think WOCs in the classic style that are worn a lot will inevitably have this happen, yes. I don't own the classic style but I do have a reissue WOC in aged calf and I already see it happening with that one [emoji853]

Other WOCs are more structured though. I don't think it will happen with my boy WOC which of course has edging. Also my two recent shimmery reissue WOCs have stiffer leather and I don't think it will happen with those either. Additionally, the Trendy WOCs have the metal plate across the top which provides excellent structure.

In sum, don't go for a classic WOC if you want to avoid this. Or at least go for one in a more rigid caviar. Hope that helps!

Bought these two WOCs last week.

It has a working turnlock.

This WOC has no flap zip pocket, which is nice because it means there won't be any indentation on the leather under the flap. It also has no back pocket.

I think it's stunning and I love the style utterly but I may return it as I was hoping for a more vivid blue. I will also say the leather seems incredibly delicate.
