I would advise against lighter colour vernis for anything. Had a pearl vernis wallet and the colour bleed was irreparable. Huge regrets and never got anything vernis ever again. Also, you can see surface scratch since it's so glossy. Just not a practical material to use everyday.

Pursecake, I appreciate you sharing your painful experience with vernis. I am curious if the color bleed you experienced was from printed items, such as receipts, or was it from darker items such as the handbag lining or other leather items in the bag? Thank you!

Hi guys! I’m not sure if I’m being picky but I exchanged my Clemence wallet for the Jeanne wallet. First Clemence purchase had a fault, exchanged it for another Clemence and then second Clemence leather around the edges started peeling off so went to the store and exchanged if. They said if I chose to go with Clemence they wouldn’t give me an exchange or credit note again. However, today I was looking at my Jeanne and found some imperfections and this is two weeks using my Jeanne. I don’t want to return it again as this would be the third time![emoji17] please help! The third photo shows the stitching is consistent - it’s opposite side of the wallet.

Personally, not a single thing in the pictures provided bothers me. I think all of it is normal. I had way more issues with the Jeanne wallet than the Clemence one. The leather on the side was cracking around all of the stitching so I returned it.

But your pictures look fine to me. If it’s driving you insane, take it back and get your money back.
