A nice member directed me here thinking you ladies could help...I'm in the market for a midsize LV wallet. I currently have the full sized Zippy and the Ludlow, both in the monogram. They are a bit too big and too small for everyday use, although I love them both. I want something more in the middle. I mostly carry cards butlike room for bills and change. I've been eyeing the empriente leather forever and I'm considering the compact curieuse, but concerned on whether it would hold enough cards. I might be able to get the secret compact in leather but not sure if that would hold more cards or not. Thoughts on either wallet. I'd be open to other suggestions as well, even outside the leather, if it had the perfect set up.

Hello there! I think that empriente is a great leather for a wallet, as it is both beautiful and durable. I have the compact curieuse and if I put cards in the extra pockets, I only can fit 9 or 10 all together before the wallet begins to get too bulky. I love the compact curieuse but I definitely favor wallets that have more slots.

Outside of empriente there is the zippy compact wallet which has 10 slots. I LOVE the ZCW in epi leather. Try that out too!
If you want more than 8 card slots in medium size wallet, it might be your best best bet. Also it's being discontinued in its current form so if you like it- get it soon! :)

Anyone else have any suggestions? Hope this helps and good luck with your wallet shopping! :)

I highly recommend the zippy compact. It fits in small and large bags with ease. It has 10 card slots, lots of pockets (in case you need more storage for cards), a coin compartment and a bill compartment. I love it, but when I carry a lot of cash, this is not the wallet to go for....it gets bulky. It is my only complaint, otherwise it is a great wallet. It seems that it is being discontinued in its current form, so I'm looking to get a couple more before that happens. If you scroll back in this thread a few pages, I think you will see that two other zippy compact lovers, tlo, and tonimack, have posted some recent pics of theirs.

Another alternative is the French wallet, but it has less slots (8), but a very retro and classic look---very cute in vernis!

A compact Sarah has recently come out and there are some recent pics in this thread....I think it was Tonimack who posted them, and if I'm not mistaken, she commented that the wallet was larger than expected, so that may be an option. GLD! :D

Monogram Josephine + Daily Organiser!!

My newest LV Daily Organiser :) So much space for all my essentials: CCs, bills, receipts, notes, and passport if im traveling! The best feature is the outer handle... this wallet measures 9" x 5" so it can really be used as a clutch.

I have slight dilema with my Josephine wallet. I bought it almost one year ago but only used it for about 4mo. I stored it away in its dustbag and inside its box. I went to retrieve it the other day and found the flap edges curling upwards!!!!! WHAT DO I DO?? Has anyone else experienced this? and is there a fix?? I bet Emilie wouldnt do this bc of it curved subtle edging. please help?!:blah:

You have to let the canvas breathe. Stop storing it in the box because it insulates the canvas. The canvas is subject to distort or even crack. Just store her in the dust bag. Try flipping it over laying face down for a while but not sure that would change anything. I usually rotate the position of my bags and slg's so they won't distort or lose structure from being in one position for a while not in use.

Based on what you said, I would recommend one of the following...
Clemence: 8 card slots. Empreinte, canvas, epi, vernis
Zippy compact: 10 card slots. Epi, canvas
Sarah compact: 6 card slots. Canvas, vernis
HTH!!

Talking about wallets... am I the only one who missed that the Curieuse wallet seems to be discontinued?
Just now that I thought about getting one. Customer service told me today that they don't have a single Cerise one left anymore in Germany  Such a bummer.

For those of you who have the Sarah and Curieuse in Empreinte or who have checked out both: how do they compare? Is the Sarah very bulky in Empreinte?
I'm also worried about the back pocket curling

I have heard this as well. I love the curieuse. I have it in midnight blue. I looked at the Sarah in empreinte and I wasn't impressed. It seemed very floppy for lack of a better word. It didn't impress me. Also I didn't like that the flap was smooth and the bottom embossed, I feel it would look better the other way around like the St. Germain.

When I need a bigger wallet, I wear my zippy in empreinte. I like flap wallets but the Sarah is bulky and seems to have a lot of problems with the glaze cracking in the flap area.

Don't worry so much! Buy what you love and works for your lifestyle. GLD!
