Hi guys!care to help me to check out this wallet that was given to me by my aunt?it's really old and i am planning to have this restored.i know a great shop who can do it.i am just not sure if it's worth it.i mean if the wallet is authentic.appreciate your help.

I'm a fan of restoring vintage LV pieces. I have done it several times. I believe it is worth it if the work will be done right and you will enjoy the piece. I have a vintage Alma that I restored every time I carry it people say they like it better than the new ones. Besides your aunt gave it to you so it holds sentimental value which I think makes it worth it.
SHow sweet of you.thanks..i was really planning to keep this, just a little worried about the money i'll have to shell out if this is not the real thing coz i am used to seeing 8 card compartments for this kind of french wallet.will you be able to tell if this is authentic though?
My Curieuse wallet in aurore! I've had this wallet for two months now and it is my absolute favorite. I use the removable pouch for cash, a spare hair tie, and a couple bobby pins (because what girl isn't ever digging around for those, right?
). If I'm planning on using a small purse I just throw my cards in the pouch and stuff that into my bag.
Based on my vintage pieces it appears to be. But I am no expert. I have taken mine to LV directly and had no problem as they have all been processed for repairs and returned so they are authentic. The only thing I will say is that it can have no and I do mean no damage to the canvas or they will not touch it.

I am new to the club. I wanted to get the DE Emilie with the brown interior so decided to go down the preloved route. It arrived today and it is gorgeous but I notice one of the thread in the corner has come away. Will this impact on the function of the wallet? Can it become worse? It was advertised as very good condition with no sign of wear. I'm not sure what to do now.... Any advise will be appreciated. I posted this in the Josephine/Emilie clubhouse as well but thought i'll ask here too. TIA

Hi, I would return or ask for partial refund. How much would depend on how much LV would charge the fix the stitching. HTH.
