I'm getting the new Christmas Animation wallet next week. I can't decide between the zippy and the insolite. Has anyone had both that can give me some pros & cons to both? Thank you

There are some very strong supporters of the insolite style wallet here on TPF (especially that it has a D-ring and you can attach a wrist strap/chain on it) but generally a lot of people love the zippy. I have tried both and then eventually sold my insolite because it just didn't work for me as I do not like open-flat wallets style and much prefer the accordion style like the zippy and the Sarah. GLD!

I have both, but I am a flat opening wallet maven. I love the look of the insolite and the idea of it more than the practice. I find that I use it for travel and more as a clutch than as an everyday wallet. If I need to carry a lot of cash the insolite is great as well as the zippy. (Side note--As an everyday wallet, then the zippy compact is probably my favorite.)

The insolite is a unique wallet whereas the zippy is an accordion style that every brand makes. As I said, the insolite is a great clutch.

Just assess your needs and see them in person and follow your heart and what is right for you!

Can you fit a boardingpass in the insolite in any of the pockets or just lay it in the middle and close the buttons?

I just returned from a trip so I still had my boarding pass and I took a couple of pictures of the boarding pass in different pockets. The answer is yes. Sadly, TPF is acting up and not allowing me to post them for you. I will try again later in the hope it is not as temperamental. I travel a lot and the answer is yes it fits boarding passes, passports, and currencies that are longer than US dollars.

HTH!
