It has been a challenge finding Parures de Samourais, and no one can tell me why. The other day, my SA sent an urgent message saying she's found cw 08 and that there's only 1 available (In all the land? I wanted to joke - LOL :p)! This cw looks more subdued compared to the high contrast cw 05. I find it has a look that's softer, less formal and quite wearable. And now, I have three.

I may have been remiss in saying thank you lately, dear scarfies, so thank you for the Likes!
I reported this last week but my dept manager did some research and found that the Samourais is something like a 46 color scarf where the normal is 24. It takes a lot longer to create. And I imagine that easier to make a mistake on. What I don't know is if this will mean a lot fewer being created. So I am snatching them when I can on line. Budget or no budget.

I have 4 of them. Three that I love ( 02, 06, 08). The only one I am not sure of is 07 and it is starting to look better. Two more, 04 & 14 on the way. I missed 04 the first time it was online so jumped on it tonight. Missing the gray/pewter one which I think is 03. Crazy. But it is just a wonderful wonderful design. Hate being 4 hours from a Hermes store. And my friends at the Nordstrom Flagship store in Seattle seem to get everything last. Hope it is a long time before a design appeals to me like this one does. Glad someone out there understands.

This is amazing, lynn1995, thank you for sharing. I hope you get all the cw's you want. I also think that with so many scarf designs and cw's this season, maybe the boutiques do not order more than a couple of pieces per cw per design. I saw 2 pieces for PdS cw 05 -- I hurried as soon as I got the call -- mine had been set aside and the other was in the scarf counter. I only saw one of 01, 08, 12, 13 and 14, trickling in within the span of a month (yes, I've been dropping by so often the SAs got used to my stalking :giggle:). I got my 03 from overseas.

How do you go about ordering from overseas? I am fairly new to the world of Hermes and am uncertain how to proceed with that. I know that the overseas web sites only let me "wish" not purchase.

A close friend turned me onto Hermes scarves in the 1980's when he found two vintage in an Antiques store. I tried to go online a couple of years ago but it was before they updated their web site and I could not figure out how to buy them or how much they were. I accompanied my husband to a Marine Expo in Seattle in November and paid my annual visit to Nordstrom Flagship. They had installed a Hermes pop-up installation three weeks before I got there. I was in heaven. Bought several and then got lost in the hermes website over Thanksgiving. Lost my beloved mother in August. The beauty of these scarves, each one a work of art in its own right, kept me sane during the holidays.

I know what you mean!! I'm grateful to have people who understand me, too. :hugs:I am waiting for 2-3 more, which, hopefully, will turn up soon. Meanwhile, I've also picked up Passementeri Quadri, Paperoles (missed out on the neutral I was contemplating), and Brides Fleuries. This season is just fantastic!

Grateful to BBC for starting the Ode to the Samouraïs thread in the H Clubhouse and all the dear Samourai ladies and gents who have joined it!

Did you like the 01( still on Samourais)? Can't make up my mind about that one. I'm concentrating on getting the PS first and then will back track on others I like. Contemplating a Zeta. Everything looks so much better in person than on line. Which of the PS do you have?

I'm so sorry for your loss, dear lynn. I'm sending you good thoughts for what little that's worth.

I travel for work meetings and this is when I get the opportunity to buy H scarves overseas or at airports. I also limit myself to direct purchases from the H boutiques and have, so far, not ordered online. H is just too tempting! I need self-imposed limits -- especially this season! :amuse:

That brings to mind another memory. My Mother took my daughter and I on a three week trip to Russia in 1993 to celebrate my daughter's graduation from high school. Three weeks down the Volga from Moscow to St. Petersburg. First overseas trip for all of us. We were in the airport in New York I think and I happened upon the duty free Hermes Kiosk. Beautiful Beautiful scarves for $110. I was on a budget for the trip so thought I would buy on the way home. Of course no Hermes Kiosk on the way home. I dreamed about that and regretted it for years. Life is so funny.

The 01 is attractive but I think between that and 02, I would get the latter. I already have 03, 05 and 08.
Which Zeta colours were you contemplating?

There's a good discussion and a lot of beautiful photos, including the museum visit of @Joannadyne .

Please post mod shots if you do get Zeta. I'm quite curious about how it will tie. This one is not shared at all yet on this thread.
