Boston still has no Samurais (even though it's been a whole two days since PbP checked haha) but of course I couldn't control myself and leave with nothing. My first SS17 piece: Le Boubou H in marine/bleu jean/ciel. 65cm cotton from the men's dept. This will be perfect for the summer. It's a great size and nice weight.

Gorgeous, Bostonjetset, thanks so much for sharing! This combo of colors is . I'd love to see it modelled if you have a chance. How does it drape? I have a cotton 70cm, but from many years ago. Mine is not very drapey, but I love it anyway! The quality of Hermes cotton is so beautiful.

I will model it soon. I'm off to NYC tomorrow morning but should have some time Sunday night to play around with this and take some mod pics.
It is not as drape-y as the silk 70s [which I adore!] but not too stiff. The quality is nice and it's pretty substantial for cotton. It will be nice and breezy in the hot weather though. I like to wear scarves in the summer but sometimes just get too hot so this will help with that problem haha.

Thank you my dear Elaine!! They do indeed still have the swan boats in the public gardens. I believe the last time I was on one was also when I was a little boy haha. They are a cute summertime staple in the city though.

BTW, how ever did you know that I LOVE a good afternoon tea?!?!?! One of life's great pleasures. Of course, the original Ritz on Arlington and Newbury is now a TAJ property. Ritz Carlton built a new hotel in the city that is closer to Chinatown/Theatre District. It is nice but much more modern and lacks the old-school charm of the original.

Well, a parcel arrived for me this morning with Parures de Samouraïs in cw 07! Thanks to those of you who gave me advice xx

Sorry that I cannot model it today - it has been raining all day and was far too gloomy to get good photos. I will try tomorrow. I have been posting about my scarves regularly on my blog (and giving credit to TPFers too) and am hoping to post about Parures next Friday. Would it be OK for me to ask any of you who have posted close-up photos of other Cws if you would allow me to use your photo on my blog? Obviously no faces, just close-ups of the scarf. This blog is really helping with my mental health, which has been very poor since I was forced to retire.

Anyway - I am thrilled with the scarf. I cannot get over the amazing and intricate detailing, the shading, the colours! Croisette, I am your twin and I hope I can wear it as well as you do.

I can't wait to see your pics! Also, what is your blog? I would love to read it!
