I'd like to see more pics frou frou because I'll be very honest:

One of the things I've most noticed and admired about you is how you GLOW in your scarves. Your face is lit up and you look completely comfortable in them, like a second skin.

Something of that is missing here. I don't know, I can't quite put my finger on it. The design is lovely, the color combo is really, really terrific, but....

The neck wrap is the best, so the colors definitely suit you.

Please more pics. Perhaps these first ones are dark, or maybe a dark top isn't the way to go.

I'm sorry, not very helpful I know.

You're right, it doesn't feel quite right yet . The black lines feel aggressive , yet I love the rest of it.Maybe the dark top draws the black lines out.
I try to post tomorrow evening if I can , your input is so useful, thanks so much :D

Modernisme Tropicale is the design I like this season, but the colours hadn't been for me until last week .
I found two new colour ways I loved and chose no. 14 , Aqua,Vert, Ocre
It's so luminous IRL and I adore Ochre and Emerald .
Now I'm wondering if I made the right choice so may have to check out at H again.
I love the way it looks in a simple neck wrap which is how I usually wear my 90cm , but seeing the more drapey tie with a bigger expanse of silk I'm feeling the glamour of it isn't my thing..

This is such a happy design and this colorway shows it off perfectly!

I am twins with a few of you - love the men's collection especially this one Imprimeur Fou Charabia Gris colorway 14.

I deliberately checked out this HS on you, Frou Frou. I like it on you, both the close to the neck tie and the draped triangle in front. It is different than what I mentally think of you wearing. You have delicate features. What would it look like on you if you wore white? The black clothing may make it a strong contrast and I'm thinking a softer look might be more "you".

If you were a brunette with black hair it'd be one thing -- go for the drama in that case -- but o/w a more tonal look might be better. Just a thought. Frankly, it is a lovely and great design on you and I'd own that HS in a heartbeat if it looked that good on me (I've yet to try it on). Just try some other background colors.

The scarf is such an interesting, different, appealing and modern print on you, I wouldn't give up on it. I have similar coloring to you, hair color in particular and ochre and emerald are good colors on me, too. So you maybe just have to play with it with the rest of your wardrobe.

All 3 ways you wear it look great. Ditch the black blouse and see how it looks.

Eagle Thank you so so much for your insightful view and for taking the trouble to write.
I feel like we've met, you know me!
It's true I've small delicate features and colouring to match , but I'm a rebel!
I play piano with weedy little hands, and always choose pieces with huge leaps and chords , because there's a bigger me trying to get out :D
Hence the Modernisme Tropical , it's so against my type .
Papertiger once suggested avoiding delicate finicky designs and go bold !
Seriously , what bothers me are two things: the heavy black lines = angry
and the fact the reverse is not saturated , that's annoying as I don't often go for a bias fold.

This is such a happy design and this colorway shows it off perfectly!

Yay ! It would look terrific on you!

Speaking for myself, I see the scarf as an abstract design. The black lines are most apparent in the top photo. I personally like the 3rd way best with the hearts showing up. The hearts soften the design and just seem to really work well for you. The hearts are cheerful.

But the second way you tied it is good too.

The black is IMHO not angry as much as graphic, like a strong design with a design grid on it. Think Piet Mondrian, his black lines which are essential to the design, are graphic in the same way as your HS design. A graphical look is usually dramatic, a high contrast look, which might look really great with black hair.

Dearest frou frou.....may we see this lovely scarf on a white background when you have a moment? Maybe a white t-shirt or a cotton shirt? I think the black top is throwing it off.

Hmmmmm. :thinkin: Frou Frou, I see what you (and others) see in the photographs with the black lines. However... I do think the "luminosity" of this colorway doesn't adequately show in photos. The photos also don't show how the colors in the scarf might pick up the color of your eyes. I guess I'm wondering if we're all missing out on the overall effect of the scarf by being unable to see the whole picture in person, and I wonder if what seems so stark and obvious in photographs would never occur to anyone seeing you in the flesh. But I have to confess I think this colorway is so incredible IRL that I might be hopelessly biased in its favor. :D

Thanks all for the ideas and feedback on Modernisme Tropical.I really appreciate all your opinions so much.
I've just returned home and it's too dark to do photos , Calexandre is right …this is a special colour way and I mustn't write it off too quickly .
I'll post again with lighter clothes tomorrow if I can .
