Wonderful conversation! I just received the blue/white Flamingo Party and love it! It's a very nice navy blue, not too dark. So happy to have this design, as the previous colorways offered didn't work for me. And the pattern really pops in just two colors. As ms piggy noted, the jacquard bees are quite subtle on a dark background. Now I'm pondering the white/blue Jungle Love, as it's such a quiet beauty, and I love the dark contrast hem!

Congrats on your fp. I am now trying not to want both. They really are quite beautiful together aren't they? [emoji29]

Could we have a modelling photo please? I'm trying to decide....

Thank you ladybaga

Scarf1 you are right about the color difference. I'm sure you guys have seen this. I just received a scarf book with my online order. Here is jungle love and flamingo party tied together View attachment 3285142

Oh you totally need one!! They have all the FP colors at our store and the red and orange in JL [but of course not the blue...the one I am debating on]. I am glad I tried them on because I was starting to lean away from the blue towards the red but it was SO bright on me...it reminded me of a candy cane LOL

Having tried both the blanc/bleu JL and FP Tattoo at the same time, these are my comments : they lend different vibes as well as hand feel. In terms of looks, JL has a cleaner lighter feel whilst FP is busier and heavier (as in darker/sombre). The JL silk also feels softer compared to the FP (stiffer) as a result of the coloration. Lastly, the bees are definitely more pronounced for the JL print than the FP. IMO, the JL design shows off the jacquard effect beautifully.

Hope you get to play them soon and make a decision.

You are quite correct in that the bees 'pop' more on the JL. I really love them both but must choose only one as they are fairly similar. I think the JL just may be too much stark white for me.

It may be a bit! I'm recovering from the most horrendous cold, and am just starting to feel human again! In the meanwhile, here's a LINK to bibivi1's modeling pic. Hope that helps!

Hat Trick, So sorry! I just realized I gave a link to a Jungle Love pic in my post above, by mistake! Here's a LINK to CanuckBagLover's pic of her blue/white Flamingo Party Tatoo! :flowers:

I finally made a visit to Hermes to see the new season scarves. I love the 140cm giant silk twill scarves!
There was a beautiful deep red tapis persans, a cheerful green chemins secret and dark turquoise mors et gourmettes . But the instruction du Roy stole my heart. I wanted some time to make a decision and I plan to go back next week to make my purchase.

Instructions Du Roy in ivory stole my heart as well. Had just 2 minutes before going to the concert and dropped by Toronto Hermes. And grabbed it immediatelly as I saw it. Sooo lovely, sooo feminine. Love it to death.

Thank you Ms. Piggy. Your comments are always so helpful. I tried both on today at the boutique and brought home JL. You're right...the FP felt heavier, stiffer and the FP draped so beautifully.

My dear, I think we can both agree that you do pretty well on your own :graucho:

However, if you like the teal blues that H issues, the 2013 year had a lot of them. It shows up particularly well in the 90cm version of the fleurs et papillons. Just sayin.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out. I'm very focused on rounding out my non 90 formats at the moment. Various shades of blue- green seem to have been present in the collections for the past few years. This year has quite a bit.

Thanks PP

I received mine through the post yesterday and was immediately drawn to that 'outfit'.

I was thinking the new 'Tattoo' FP would look great doubled with the Mythique Phoenix from a couple of years ago (SS'14). Easy to wear one (or both) as a top, one as a top, the other as a bolero, or top/belt combo etc.

Oh wouldn't that be fabulous?!? I'm still trying not to want. Which means I'll probably end up with both at some point, [emoji23]

I just received the "FP Tattoo" from h.com. I do like it very much. The design appears full-bodied and saturated. It goes nicely with denim, and I think it almost has a bandana look to it. I agree that the bees are quite hidden within the design. However, I know they are there. :smile1:
