Funny but true! DH knew we were in trouble when the season's theme was announced. Critters. We're doomed.
I've already warned my SA that we need to be very. Very. Thoughtful. Lest I blow my budget in the first month of the year and have to spend the rest of 2016 under my bed. Seriously. It could happen.

The decrease was July 1st of last year. I remember because it was my anniversary and we went to Hermes where I was pleasantly surprised.

Yes you are right. In the original version I had written "NO we did not " (as in, we did NOT had a Price decrease).
The Decrease in the States was probably due because the exchange rate euro/dollar has dropped so much.
The price INCREASE in the States usually takes place much later, like many have posted here, in February.

Aha, Exactly my point, Pegase - the differing exchange rates means that your increases in Europe may not mean much this year for us in the US, especially as prices are noticeably lower there.

By the way, the exact dates of the increase also varies....some years it's been earlier in January, sometimes mid-January, I recall being told once or twice it would be January 31 or February 1, and some years they roll out the price increases over a few weeks or so. Not to get anyone's hopes up, but this is not the first decrease I have experienced, I remember decreases twice in a row around 15 years ago.

I have been buying H for almost 20 years now, and if there is one thing I am certain of, it is that it's different EVERY year!

Has anyone heard about price increases? One of the resellers that send out emails said they were happening next week. I thought prices went up in February. Any idea if scarves and shawls are going back up? She said the price increase in the US is 10% and 20% in Europe. No idea what this includes.

meg, my SA just told me that she has not heard of any USA price increases coming this way.
Of course, take this with the proverbial grain of salt but that is as of yesterday.

Dear Pirula, hope this helps you decide. I was hoping I would be able to take photos during the day when the weather has been so nice out but it didn't happen. Too much running around before moving. I hope the indoor lighting is not too bad and that you can see it well! I personally really love the petals / big leaves (?) on two of the corners. They make the carre so much more fun when tied. It looks softer than the solid background color. I hope the photos show what I'm trying to say.

I know what you mean BBC. The only reason that I remember the decrease as I said was it happened to coincide with my anniversary and I remember the price increases as they always seem to happen right before my birthday trip. Now that I am more of a regular at Hermes I will try and get anything my list before the increase. Where before I always ended up buying a couple of weeks after the increase.

Mine said the same thing yesterday. In fact, he said that he would be surprised if there was an increase here. Not to get anyone's hopes up. I am compiling my list of serious must haves and hope to get them before the price increase if there is one.

Ok. So I don't have any 70s but you ladies have just sent me over the edge. I must have this design and all your fabulous tying options show me a 70 may actually be a better size than 90 since it seems to have less fabric so more of the design shows!!!! This is a discovery I'm not sure I'm happy about Oh this season is dangerous! You both look absolutely SMASHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!
