VigeeLeBrun and Hermesick, I am extremely fair-skinned (think Nicole Kidman levels of fairness!), with platinum blonde hair, and cw #08 works wonderfully on me, especially when I wear more color in terms of lipstick when wearing the shawl. I feel like this is a cw that would look lovely on just about everyone.

Funny you asked because I'm also interested in this cw. I did not see it in the drawers. I'm scared of that mint color in the middle though. Deathly afraid of mint color around my face. Emerald green is good. Mint, baaaaaaaaad.

I've been looking at all cws. I exclude everything with white (even your gorgeous pink/white). orange and beige won't suit me. Bleu/lavande would be too close to my Raconte-moi. I completely get out of my comfort zone and enter the mysterious country of green!

I'm curious, though. Vert/soleil/beige? It looks dark and light green to me, not yellow (soleil=sun).

ah...I see your process of elimination. Out of your choices, I think the noir/gris/multicolor goes with more things. I think the bright pink in the middle of marine/rose/vert will make it a bit hard to match with stuff. And you're right, you didn't see much green in my drawer. I want green. I do. But I don't see Hermes doing a lot of green. Even their bags...only malachite, bamboo, and menthe recently. Whereas they have a million different blues. My favorite green is emerald green.

doves 75 here is a photo of BB 08 & 01 side by side. Personally I feel blue one is quite monochromatic and I seriously consider returning it. For me white one is a beauty and a love from first sight. Hope it helps.

doves, my dear, haven't seen it at the BH H store but that doesn't mean it's not sitting there waiting for you. My local SA on the East Coast has my name down for the BB CW 08 and I am going to buy it from her when it comes in my store. My SA works so hard, I would feel like a traitor buying it at BH. Please run and give your BH SA a call for it!

I'm not sure. I don't have anything bright pink, so it could fill a hole. On the other hand, the noir/gris/multicolore has nice bright pink accents that I love too!
The green looks very rich and warm... but I don't own anything green! So I have no idea if it could match at least part of my wardrobe.

Yes dear u need it! It will look smashing... Trust me! There's a ton of black and grey action when worn around the face so it's not stark and white... Tons of visual interest to break up the off white base...

well, that is an interesting question. I feel that buttons in blue BB are in fact more 3D than in white BB.
But overall Blue BB seems to be more "flat" than a white one. Maybe because Cw01 has just neutral & shades of blue while CW08 has white, shades of black AND neutral that nicely underlines all the details.

Ironically, Millefleurs and the Brazil are my first 70s! I prefer large scarves but just loved both of these designs so took the plunge. I really like them both - the smaller size does take a little getting use to - still experimenting on how best to tie them - but the silk is softer and lighter than the 90 cm twill, so I'm thinking that with the softer, lighter silk and smaller size, these will be perfect for summer.
