Very pretty--soft light blues are so pretty for spring. I am debating whether to keep this colorway of the Voyage de Pytheas (07). I'm not sold on the "jaune d'or" (yellow gold) accents, but on the other hand, the lavender and beige and grey tones are pretty and the gold is growing on me. What do you think? The modeling picks seem to wash all the color out.
la Vie en Rose - I'm offering a tip of mine for this situation: the Tomorrow Test. If you will be happy to wear this scarf out right tomorrow with your most frequent outfit, then it's meant to stay. If not, return it. I'm sure it won't be sold out for at least one more season, you can charge-send if you ever change your mind.
I have had so many scarves which I think I will "settle" because it has this or that is nice. The fact is, if a scarf has anything that turns me off, I often pass on it when I reach for scarf every morning, and it will end up never seeing daylight and get sold for lower prices on the bay afterwards.
IMO, if you wear neutral outfits often, this scarf looks washed out on you. But again it's just my opinion, and I'm biased because I hate gold scarves.

Great words of wisdom, Chestnutty. This definitely rings true for me, yet I am still holding on to some because I adore their designs.:smile1:

I am mesmerized by the beautiful metallic sheen of the beige in this scarf and think it looks lovely on you.

great colorway! That one is tempting and I can see why you searched diligently for it. My scarf drawer is awash with blue scarves; if it weren't, I'd be sorely tempted to get this cw.
BirkinLover, katekluet, Vitamina H , thank you for your comments about the Pytheas 07 (goldish yellow/lavender and beige--at least to my eyes!). I'm poking around in my closet as you suggested and the scarf is growing on me. Besides, the animals are so cute! I just tried it with an orange top, inspired by Vitamina H's comments, and liked how the Pytheas worked with it. Probably going to remain in my collection!

La Vie en Rose:woohoo:! I am so happy that you are falling more in love with your beautiful cw! Do you wear many denim or chambry shirts? I thought to myself, that day I had her on, how pretty she would be with a denim shirt, white jeans, and a pair of gold hoop earrings;)! I seriously think the map portion of your cw is gorgeous!

Chestnutty, I like your Tomorrow Test theory! I have one that I keep going back and forth on myself. I have yet to remove the tag...two months later. I think this says something, doesn't it?;) Thank you for this good advice.

good advice--I like the idea of the "tomorrow test", which I will do tomorrow when going to the office! Yes, I don't just want this to wind up languishing in the drawer. Thank you for your observations on how the scarf looks on me.

Seriously, la Vie en Rose, you think of returning it? This is my fav cw of this design! A keeper for sure! The golden accents are making it more 3D to me! But that's just me...
Angfang

Thanks! I know what you mean about the 3D aspect thanks to the gold accents. I'm going to try out Chestnutty's "tomorrow test". The scarf looks great with my dark brown tops.

Now that you mention it, it occurs to me I don't have a denim or chambray shirt. But I bet that kind of blue would look good with this scarf. It works with dark purples, too.

I'm glad if my opinion would help any of you ladies. After a few years of hunting down all of my grails, now I try to buy only scarves that I like so much I'm eager to wear right after purchasing. After all, I'm not a rich girl and I'm not a collector, there is no need to buy too many things and further piling my "for collecting purposes" stacks . But words are easier spoken than done...

Chestnutty, again really good advice!;) Thank you!! Like you said, I don't need to just grow my stacks; I also must use what I buy too! Ohhhh, the power of H is a strong one! ha!

True wisdom here from you, Chestnutty. Plus the novelty of seeing particular prints can trigger an overpowering urge to buy especially when a new season's stuff is just trickling into the boutique. (I've also fallen for the line, "It's the only one in the country"). You are absolutely right about how scarves can have something about the cw or design that becomes less than appealing over time.

I've not seen this colourway IRL and when I do, I will be very tempted to break my "rule" of one colourway per design ..... this is stunning Le Voyage de Pytheas cw 27. Does anyone have this? If so, can you provide the colours? Thanks,

I would love to see this cw too! I saw the pink one in store recently and was very impressed with it, now I'd like to see this one before I decide. If anyone has it please post pics :)
