Dear Silkies!
Yesterday evening I was at the opening party of the "Festival de Metiers" exibition in Hamburg, I took this pictures for you who are particular fond of "De la mer au Ciel"...

I was not fast enough.. I think I missed the first 2 or 3 CW....

and one last one...
enjoy!!!

oh,,, and here is Lady Drafter working on "Au Cour de la Vie"...

I thought it was particularly nice, that they were showing designs from the actual season...

Dear Pegase, Many thanks for sharing your wonderful photos with us! So thoughtful of you! :smile1: Did anything come home with you? :graucho:

Oh my God, I am
You got best shawls ever! I am stacking H website in a hunt for those and no luck so far :nogood:
Is there a chance they will sell out and never made to website?
I am a pure ENVY right now, shame on me :smile1:! Enjoy!

Dear bibivi1, So sweet of you! So much has been scarce this season, I think spring stock has been slow to arrive, and will continue to trickle in. It seems this season perseverance and determination are required! :broom: Are you near a boutique, and do you have a sales assoc. you normally work with? If so, ask him/her to let you know if one of these arrives. And then continue to check the website, as well! Sending best wishes in finding them!

Thanks a lot Mindi,

It sound like a cliche but really focusing in sth as beautiful as a Hermès silk really helps.. just the beauty of colors, the planning for the next purchase, the saving... every moment its unique.. and after that "playing" with your existing wardrobe... it really helps..and I feel so happy to belong to this forum.. it's like chatting with friends.. Wow I'm getting quite sentimental about it.. sorry ladies!!!

Please dont be sorry, that is what we do here! in Fact that is what brings us together, the strong feelings towards this beautiful objects. Maybe you have heard the saying:

Shared sorrow is half the sorrow...
shared joy is double the joy!

Silkie Hugs!

Pegase, that last pic of de la mer is my favorite, such a beautiful neutral. This I MUST have in my collection. Thanks for all the great pics!
The color combinations on this one I find particularly striking too! But I am holding on until "Ex Libirs en Carreaux" finally comes out... there is one CW that is almost like this!

Dear Pegase, Many thanks for sharing your wonderful photos with us! So thoughtful of you! :smile1: Did anything come home with you? :graucho:

ohh... there were enough things I wanted to take with me! specially some of the older carrees that just "hang there" as decoration! but the exibition is all about the handcraf and handcrafters. Nothing for sale!

Yes, I love reading this forum and follow all of the scarf threads. I have so many cheap scarves and had not realised how amazing the H ones are until I opened my first box. I have to buy online as I can't get to a store, so this forum has really helped with choosing the colours. Mind you, I am drawn to the bright ones as these are so cheerful, even if they may not suit me the best. I have no idea what suits me now as I don't really look like myself any more.

HermesHope, I just want to add a warm welcome along with all the other tPF ladies and gents:wave:. I am so honored to be twins with you on your yellow Au Coeur de la Vie! This is the most happiest of scarves I own and will always think of you when I wear it. Silkie Sisters (and Brothers) Rule:hugs:!

Pegase, thank you so much for your wonderful photos! I know exactly what you mean about all those scarves just hanging there!! I attended last year and remember seeing a Din Tini. Oh how I wanted to run away with it! I, too, am happy to see the scarf presenter! He is such a nice man and gives such a phenomenal description of the scarf making process...so good for DH to see;)! I am so thankful to have lived this year vicariously through you!!

Hi HermesHope!
I have the same Au Coeur de la Vie scarf as you! According to the tag, the colors are jaune vif/ turquoise/ and vert. (colorway 13) Hope this helps and glad you are feeling better to be able to go outside today. Enjoy your scarves! :smile1:

Thank you so much for the French names. Yes, I did go out today and felt wonderful in my new scarf. I am just relieved that my husband has no idea how much they cost as he would probably faint!

Delamerauciel in CW 8. We are twins! My tag says bleu/ vert/ mauve

Enjoy!

Thank you! I absolutely adore this scarf and it looked lovely with my cheap and cheerful white T and indigo jeans :D

Ah, that is so sweet of you! Yes, this scarf is awesome with all of the tiny details. I love the yellow as the yellow daffodils each Spring really help to cheer me up after the long Winter :D

I totally agree! Love this quote, Pegase! Thanks for sharing!!!:smile1:

Love this thread and have been lurking since I posted about buying my first H scarf back in February. I now have three, thanks to reading posts on here. The Au Coeur de la Vie with the yellow border and De la Mer au Ciel in colour way 08, I think, are my latest purchases. Can anyone tell me the French names of these colour ways? I can't work out how else to find this out even though I have asked when ordering online for the paper tag to be left on. They have all arrived without this.

I am going to wear the De la Mer au Ciel tomorrow. What would be the best knot to use? I live in the UK and it is supposed to be sunny tomorrow and I am planning to wear it with a simple white tee and jeans outfit. Hopefully it will help to cheer me up. I have a chronic illness and am hoping to be well enough to go out as I haven't been outside the house for a week!

I am so glad that I found this forum, although I don't think that my bank account is! I can't tell anyone in RL that I have Hermes scarves as they would probably have a fit at the expense. But I have fallen in love with them :D
H-Hope,

beautiful post; it's people like you who inspire and keep this beautiful thread thriving.

enjoy your scarves and this thread in the best of health and happiness.

you give this thread new meaning, so, thank you!

Love both of these scarves! So gorgeous, congrats!

Thank you! I'm trying to resist the urge to get the other colors....

Oh wow! Love, love this!

Will have to check put mens dept next time....

Yes! Then you'll find a whole world of trouble... For your wallet ;)

I love this! It is so easy breezy, fresh, and pretty! It reminds of a perfect beach day:cool:!

Thanks! That's what I think too :)

The H mens department is amazing!

It's a new heap of trouble for me ;)

YES! The mens department is my H shopping guilty secret! And THIS one is LUSCIOUS!!! I can see why you don't want to take it off....it's gorgeous!

Now it's my guilty secret too :)

Isn't this fab? I just tried it in the blue burgandy combo and the green and blue combo. These don't look like much until you put them on, I agree. But once on they are so classic. Your CW is outstanding. Hermes does know what they are doing in their designs~

Yes! My store had the dark blue ver and I'm itching to get it too...

Dear "Sister",

I have a chronic illness myself and I can asure you that to be sorrounding by beauty helps to go out of bed each morning,

I'm cousins with you with your two purchases and every time I wear them, even witha simple white shirt and jeans or black trousers .. I feel proud of myself for choosing quality over quantity and even my steps are more "charming"..

It's money were spending and this forum it's like a big sisterhood
Enjoy them !!!!

Regards from Barcelona !!!

Your post is inspiring, and also gives this thread even more meaning. Thank you for sharing, and you are so correct about choosing quality over quantity. I have found that one only needs a couple of H pieces to bring joy, beauty and charm to the everyday.

enjoy in the happiest healthiest smiles each and every day!

These have been posted already, but I thought I'd add some reference pics for those considering spring GSGMs, with blues and greens. These are the three I've purchased this season. :smile1: Regarding colors, the blanc in the Leila is actually a very creamy white. I think it will be especially pretty for fall. And the jaune soufre in the green Mors Remix is a bit warmer yellow, than the vert d'eau in the blue Mors Remix (which looks like vert anis/greenish yellow to me). The colors are a bit lighter than shown in my quick photos. Hope these are helpful!

From top, clockwise:
Le Jardin de Leila - 242807S 08 - Blanc/Ciel/Etoupe
Mors et Gourmettes Remix - 242811S 01 - Vert/Ciel/Jaune Soufre
Mors et Gourmettes Remix - H242811S 13 - Ciel/Blanc/Vert d'Eau
Etoile,

thank you for the collage of GM's--gorgeous! luv your elegant choices.

And here is my picture of a SS2014 scarf. I love this cw, however, I find it rather difficult to find matching outfits. And what do you think, scarfies? I would really appreciate all your style tips
summerS--

I love this cw on you, and if YOU love it, I love it even more.

Looks great w/ your neutral gray/black...have you considered wearing it w/ pale blues for summer, and with deep chocolate brown in winter? That squash golden gold color is so sophisticated--neither yellow or orange, neither loud or too understated--it's just right.

great choice!
