I very much want to thank the women who've contributed to this thread and shared their pictures. One day about a week and a half ago, I went through the whole thing (ummm, obsessive anyone?) to prep for a visit to H Madison, and that's when I saw the Mythiques Phoenix pareo. I was a goner instantly and went directly to H to see if I could try it on. I had been so tempted by the 90cm silk twill, but since I don't wear that size, I just couldn't bite, so I was happy when the SA said she would bring one in for me.

I've been hunting for the perfect neutral scarf for a long, long time, and this fits the bill given my wardrobe. The background is a soft ivory, rather than harsh white (which is used for detail highlights instead), and the dark blue and dark raisin colors when matched with the silvery grays make this easy to dress up or down. The pareo dimensions make it fabulously easy to wear as a shawl.

I model the Bleu Ink color way with another new treasure . . . an Indigo Barenia Evelyne 2 PM bag . . . I'm in heaven.

Without this thread, I wouldn't have known that this existed, so thank you again everyone for all the information and photographs you share.

Your pics are perfection, arabesques. Bravo!

Beautiful pics arabesques! So happy to be twins with you on this pareo. It's really a lovely dual purpose piece, perfect for summer.

^^^Oh my goodness arabesques...this photo just sleighs me!!! I already have this cw in a 90 cm silk, and because of you, I've just texted my SA to see if they have yours in stock now. It is heavenly! And who, may I ask, makes your adorable jacket??

It is so awesome combination! Love your jacket and hope to know its make, too :smile1: Congrats!

arabesques, this combination is truly heaven. I love the Indigo Barenia .... a dream combination.

Thank you, Setherwood! I would sleep with the Indigo Barenia bag if I could (since I can't, I keep it right by the bed!)

Clapping! Text quick—this one is a treasure. I might try to see the 90cm, too, just because this one is so amazing. I could wear it as a headband or belt, even if I never wear it as a scarf . . .

The jacket is Isabel Marant Giovan wool-blend moto from 2010. It's rather rare now, but if you google it, I'm betting you can find one somewhere . . .

Your pics are perfection, arabesques. Bravo!

Oh Vigee! You are fabulously kind. xo

Thank you, Nico! Your photographs were the inspiration, so thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thanks, bibivi! And I gave the info in the above response . . . Isabel Marant Giovan biker!

Thanks, BritAbroad!

And I wanted to share this pic too . . . it shows off more of the details . . .

Wow!!! :cloud9::love::cloud9: Love your modeling pictures!!

This is lovely. I was out of PF a bit lately. What is pareo? It seems like a 140 lighter scarve, right? I am with you that I love the Mythiques Phoenix and don't wear 90cm. If you don't mind me asking, what's the price on this? Thanks in advance.

I'm twins with you on this pareo! Isn't it just TDF perfect? The neutral colors will carry it straight through spring and summer and into fall, I think. MP is one of the only patterns I have multiples of -- love it so much I have a moussie from a couple of seasons ago, plus a pocket square and now this pareo. I don't usually allow myself to duplicate patterns, but this one is really special.

Love your photos. And that indigo barenia! Sigh!

Congrats on the stunning yet highly versatile MP pareo! It looks so lovely on you! :)

Thank you, Chrisy. A pareo is a 100% cotton large scarf that is traditionally used as a beach coverup. This is actually lighter in weight than their normal pareos, and the SAs are selling them AS scarves (or at least the two who helped me). The price is $550 plus tax. Consider it—it's great for those of us who don't normally were the classic twill size.

Thank you, sweet catsinthebag. Now you have me hankering for the moussie. How divine!

This is a wonderful combination!

Thanks, textile girl!

Lovely color!!!

Thank you, Zookzik.

And thank you, too, Ghoztz!

Nico_79 and Arabesques...because of both of your photos of the Mythiques Phoenix pareo, it is now mine!! Texted my SA as soon as I saw Arabesques photos this morning (Nico, yours were still lingering in my mind!), and ran down there a couple of hours ago to pick it up. Thank goodness I went quickly, as they sold 6 of them in the Toronto store alone in the past two days, and Vancouver said they're selling like hot cakes as well. Ahhh, the power of tpf! In Canada, it retails for $650 plus tax.

My addition! I love the colour. View attachment 2565029
La mer au ciel.

Picked this one today from Chicago.

Sorry Anfang for my tardiness, I only have one cw with me. I saw 3 cws at FSH just the other day!!! The one that came home with me was cw 19(?), vert/bleu. I was looking out to see if I would bump into you. :(
Never mind, my dear! I had a crazy business week, but I can't wait to have a look on yours! Please, post some mod pics! :D
