I tried to keep an open mind with Piqué Fleuri de Provence and disregard my initial feeling of patchwork quilt, but I am unable to do so.
It also has grandma feeling to it.
This cw18 Mastic/Vert Amande/Vieux rose is going back.
I was planning to get (cw19) and wanted to be scarf twin with scarfmischief- my scarf idol but it has to be another scarf.
If anyone is interested in more blurry photos :amuse:, plz let me know.
Lisa- I checked very carefully no goats on this scarf.

hahahahhaaaa sweet Juda!! The patchwork nature of this quilt is the very reason I adore it. My mil made me a gorgeous quilt that I sleep under and I so appreciate the hundreds of hours it takes to make them. This design reminds me so much of Fleurs d'indiennnes that I missed. I won't be buying this one but I do appreciate it tremendously with or without goats.

Here are the promised pics of the Ex Libris En Kimonos 140 plus bags to match which I saw at FSH on New Year's Eve. If they do release this 140 I will have this cw!!! Fingers x'd that as Hermes went to the trouble of setting up a screen to print this size they will sell in due course.

Thank you for posting those pictures Scarf Addict. I am very interested in the oil paintings that are part of the display - the humans with the animal masks.

Can you tell me anything about them? Is this done by a famous artist in France? Do you know the name? I need to find out!

Hi C! The one I saw at my store was the one Mia posted above. It is a great print, very folklore-ish if that makes any sense (I hope this doesnt turn anyone off or on but kind of Ver Bradly KWIM?). As for a bold pink version of the 90cm I did not see it. As for GMs the only picture I saw of the pink purple taken from the UK website of the GMs...but the store didnt have it at the time when I was there...I wish I had a picture too...

I am still dying for the pics of more Licorne CWs....and I too wish Licorne was going to be produced in a GM but at the moment it is only 90cm (from what I know anyway...):hugs:

The 70's were very folklore-ish and very vera bradley. I would guess the folklore-ish design was an effort to get back to nature, to get away from the glitz and artifice of the 60s.

There is a folklore-ish bent to some H scarves like Decoupages and Early America.

I love 70s designs so am going to have to check out Fleuri.

I find "Les bolides" and "Tous les bateaux du monde" similar with the same concept: Flowery borders and cars/boats in the middle.

Interesting observation, Juda! When someone wants to talk themselves out of further HS acquisitions (not me), I've heard them say that the scarves all look alike.

I guess everything with a signature look is going to have some similarities and carryover from season to season.

Not me either ;)
As if similarities is going to stop us, we buy the same scarf in different cws :D
I just find it interesting that both scarves are part of this season.
With only one silk twill that I am not completely in love with, I am done with this season.
And I am only interested in 2 GMs.
I saw and tried almost all the SS 2013 scarves except GM Grande Tenue.
I should have listened to the wise words of Monceau, there is no obligation to take part of any season.

Don't lose faith, Juda!
Some designs take some time to show their appeal, but if you really don't find anything to love, Fall 2013 is just around the corner!
It's not like the funds will evaporate if we don't spend them right now...:p

I hope they they do too, that's a very pretty colorway, wish they'd done that in the GM cash/silk shawls.

Thanks for posting the photos, Hermes windows are so delicious!

Have to say I am in love with so many of this Spring 2013 offerings. This one makes me smile and love this CW with the greys and bits of green~
