Geez- what a sad collection- I hit the miss button on most of the looks and it seems most agreed with me. I have seen more inspiration on Project Runway. Tim Gunn needs to crack the whip at Hermes methinks because none of it works!

Not liking any of the new scarf designs I have seen so far.

ITA! Except for a trench, not a single look is attractive, and most are plain fugly.
Scarves are not attractive to me either... oh well...

Ha! Guys, usually I always hate the new scarves until I warm up to them and everyone says "oh no, they are great" when they first see them! This time, it's the exact opposite! I think Echec du Roi is gonna be cool in a twill and great in cashmere GM!

The Jeux d'Hermes (London Olympic scarf) reminds me of communism for some reason. I won't be buying it because of that, but mainly because it is just hideous. It reminds me of Nadia Comaneci's gymnastics leotard, with the stripes.

The rest of the RTW collection is strange. I mean, who could really wear that stuff?

Sometimes that happens to me as well with new scarf designs- it is a totally different experience seeing them irl. Lots of time to change my mind but I do not think I will warm up to the RTW- not practical or attractive or even inspired- major <YAWN>

Toujours, there is a distinct possibility that Tim Gunn would scream, "Make it work!" even if we protested the hodge-podge nature of some of those S/S 2013 outfits--although I was glad to see the link.

The silver accessories were interesting. And, I think the prints of each individual garment could by themselves make an interesting scarf. It was the mix of 3 pieces that was disconcerting and bordering on garish.

I found the pointed toe wedge interesting b/c I think this past Saturday's WSJ had some commentary about shoes and mentioned that a flat square toe was was the coming thing.

Sadly, I totally agree. While the Echec du Roi has a sort of interesting cubist thing going on, I'm not feeling it...
Looks like the coming season will be one to focus on vintage designs.

I'm quite disappointed with what I'm seeing, so far at least. Nothing is inspiring me at all, everything is really missing the mark on so many levels.
But that's just my taste, if we were all alike it'd be a sorry state of affairs.

I don't know if I'm sad or relieved, I had high hopes for some great new GMs for next season, at least this will give me chance to catch up on some older shawls from seasons past.

Thanks for sharing that link ScarfMischief ,great taster . I like the blue palette , and I also like the mixing of prints in the RTW .
The front seam match on the front of those palm tree shorts produces an unfortunate effect .
