first of all, it may not be fake. I'm just not 100% sure. My husband doesn't know anything about fake vs. real unless I tell him. And usually when I do try to educate him, he just glazes over. The consignment shop he went to is in a very affluent area and the ladies there helped him with the purchase. He was just trying to do something nice to surprise me and I appreciate it very much, bless his little heart.

compare the feel, if its fake that will tell you there.

My girlfriend has a fake pti( just saw it this week) and (although its a good one*if you didnt know*) just the feel itself is enough for me.

Also since you have both there check out the font on both(small details) the placement of the inside tabs (here the date code is) the stitching around the handles.

Or better yet post pic's here i'm sure someone can help.

I guess I need to join now too. just got my 25 (from elux) yesterday but I am sadly having some doubts as to the authenticity of my 30 :sad2: . Hubby bought it at a consignment store and I don't want to hurt his feelings. I am 95% sure it's authentic but the faded monogram thread caused me some concern. It looks identical to my 25 for the exception that my 25 was made in USA and the 30 is made in France. other than the lighter color, it looks identical.

thanks. I've compared them and everything looks and feels fine. I'm still a novice at this though. And I'm afraid to post photos because if the pros here say it's a fake, my heart will just sink! (I'll try to get the courage to post).
