Didn't you get a 25 recently? Was that a mono? What size do you think you'd get in the de? I'm
Going today and I'm torn between 30 and 35. And de vs mono. I heard the speedy de's also have this peeling cracking issue. ???
I bought the speedy b in mono as soon as it was released..my sa and I decided on the 25 because the 30 looked kind of bulky on me..I had it for a week and knew that it was NEVER going to work..just too small! I'm a 30 gal all the way, so I sold it and bought a 30! lol It is kind of bulky and doesn't look as cute as the 25 did, but I love it! Here's a pic..I think I've posted it here before..you can see that it's kind of big, but it's so squishy and comfy!

As far as quality issues- I totally agree with Charleston-Mom about the issues with the DE speedy B, but I'm still going to get it!
Yeah, the canvas is thinner, and it has a silly little cloth tag, and the brass coloring might be different shades- but honestly? ALL of my LVs are having brass issues! My pochette has rainbow brass, my artsy, which I bought new only around 5 months ago is already starting to get silvery blotches on the brass. It gets on my nerves, but at this point I just accept that LV brass is just a coated metal that will change colors and chip and there's nothing I can do about it.

I could stop buying LV because of brass issues, or I can just accept that LV brass changes colors and enjoy my bags! And while I haven't had a chance to go to LV to have them look at my pochette or cles (I want to get the zipper pull that is chipped replaced) I know that they will fix it.
So..I'm still going to get the DE speedy..now, if it has cracking and peeling issues, I'm going to be really ticked off. I have a de neverfull that is cracking and peeling all over the straps after a month of use, but also like CM said, it's a bag that is designed poorly and I knew that it would happen. So...I'm going to carry it and love it and enjoy it and when the straps get unbearably ugly, I'll have them replaced.
I say it all the time...nothing is perfect. NOTHING. Never, in the history of the world, has anyone mastered perfection. It doesn't matter how expensive something is, it's not going to be perfect. I honestly think that if I inspected every one of my bags I would find imperfections on all of them! No, people, Louis Vuitton makes lovely accessories, but they haven't created robots who make perfect bags! lol
I understand that the quality has decreased a lot, but that's bound to happen when demand gets very high. I mean, LV used to be an exclusive brand that only rich people carried. Now, I can go to the grocery store in my somewhat rural Western Pa Uni town and see 2 or 3 people carrying them. Their sales are higher than ever, and when that happens, production gets a little shoddy.
You can accept it or not buy it. Me? I am going to buy and enjoy my bags! When the glazing peels, I'll take them right back to the store to be reglazed/ replaced etc... But I'm not going to not buy a bag that I love because of silly little things like cloth tags.
It's all in your personality..if you can buy and love something despite its imperfections- go for it! If you know that you only want perfect items, it might be harder, and good luck!
