Didn't you get a 25 recently? Was that a mono? What size do you think you'd get in the de? I'm
Going today and I'm torn between 30 and 35. And de vs mono. I heard the speedy de's also have this peeling cracking issue. ???

I bought the speedy b in mono as soon as it was released..my sa and I decided on the 25 because the 30 looked kind of bulky on me..I had it for a week and knew that it was NEVER going to work..just too small! I'm a 30 gal all the way, so I sold it and bought a 30! lol It is kind of bulky and doesn't look as cute as the 25 did, but I love it! Here's a pic..I think I've posted it here before..you can see that it's kind of big, but it's so squishy and comfy!

As far as quality issues- I totally agree with Charleston-Mom about the issues with the DE speedy B, but I'm still going to get it!

Yeah, the canvas is thinner, and it has a silly little cloth tag, and the brass coloring might be different shades- but honestly? ALL of my LVs are having brass issues! My pochette has rainbow brass, my artsy, which I bought new only around 5 months ago is already starting to get silvery blotches on the brass. It gets on my nerves, but at this point I just accept that LV brass is just a coated metal that will change colors and chip and there's nothing I can do about it. :p

I could stop buying LV because of brass issues, or I can just accept that LV brass changes colors and enjoy my bags! And while I haven't had a chance to go to LV to have them look at my pochette or cles (I want to get the zipper pull that is chipped replaced) I know that they will fix it.

So..I'm still going to get the DE speedy..now, if it has cracking and peeling issues, I'm going to be really ticked off. I have a de neverfull that is cracking and peeling all over the straps after a month of use, but also like CM said, it's a bag that is designed poorly and I knew that it would happen. So...I'm going to carry it and love it and enjoy it and when the straps get unbearably ugly, I'll have them replaced.

I say it all the time...nothing is perfect. NOTHING. Never, in the history of the world, has anyone mastered perfection. It doesn't matter how expensive something is, it's not going to be perfect. I honestly think that if I inspected every one of my bags I would find imperfections on all of them! No, people, Louis Vuitton makes lovely accessories, but they haven't created robots who make perfect bags! lol

I understand that the quality has decreased a lot, but that's bound to happen when demand gets very high. I mean, LV used to be an exclusive brand that only rich people carried. Now, I can go to the grocery store in my somewhat rural Western Pa Uni town and see 2 or 3 people carrying them. Their sales are higher than ever, and when that happens, production gets a little shoddy.

You can accept it or not buy it. Me? I am going to buy and enjoy my bags! When the glazing peels, I'll take them right back to the store to be reglazed/ replaced etc... But I'm not going to not buy a bag that I love because of silly little things like cloth tags.

It's all in your personality..if you can buy and love something despite its imperfections- go for it! If you know that you only want perfect items, it might be harder, and good luck! :D

Yes. A thousand times yes! Get it. Run. I often buy displays when I can. Remember LV is in the business of making money. They use the best bags for display to show them in the best possible condition, alignment etc. I try to buy displays whenever I can. Plus no waiting for wrinkles to disappear. Plus even vachetta already started. Plus MIF and not outsourced! Run! Get it before someone else does.

My SA has it on hold for me. I'm going this afternoon to look at it and if all goes well it's coming home with me today. I can't wait I've been dreaming about this bag for months and I was trying to hold off until the fall, but visiting this forum and seeing everyone's beauty's is making it hard to wait.

I love your outlook on all this! Sometimes I think ignorance can be bliss regarding all these issues! Ha! And I love your 30 on you!!! It looks just as good! That 25 was a cutie though! :) but I know probably too small for everyday. I did go back and look at some of my ten year old LVs and it's stunning how perfect they all still look! Hardware is shiny and matching and canvas is impeccable! Guess I should've started collecting more seriously a long time ago. But I guess the world has changed....nothing is made like it used to be...

I'm so happy that you're happy and love your new bags! Congratulations!

I am agreeing also, I JUST got my DE 30 delivered at work. I haven't opened it up and reviewed it yet. I also just bought the 30 mono. I will probably be deciding between both of these bags, and oddly at this time I am kind of leaning towards the DE...unless I see something that I cannot live with on the DE.

Jut got back from LV. Well I have good and bad news. The bad news is the display speedy that has made in France stamped on it has uneven patchy patina because it has been in the window for a while. The good news is my SA called LV in saks which is in the same mall and they had a mono b 35 without the cloth tag, but it is made in USA. The canvas on my speedy b seems more stiff than my Damier ebene and a ur speedies. Hopefully it softens up a bit.

The Speedy B Mono 30 is my first LV bag, but I've been carrying daily because it did have the creases from being folded. I am also trying to use it to soften the vachetta. I think the quality has decreased a bit from the vintage ones that relatives own. I hope this eventually turns supple.

I know there is alot of talk on this bag. So far I didn't get a lemon! Hardware matches, no gaps on the zippers, material is great, and yes it's MIU. Tag or no tag I still love this bag!!!
