Hi Ladies,

Anyone own a speedy 30 b in DE and also own a Sienna Mm? Which one do you find it comfortable to wear as a crossbody bag? I'm debating between the two. I have two little kids and new a all weather comfortable hands free bag to carry my stuff as well as my kids stuff like snacks, etc... Your advice is appreciated! Thanks!

I've had those two bags. Sold my speedy and bought Siena mm. Siena mm was sweet and comfortable wearing crossbody, but much smaller and had less capacity than the speedy 30. Returned it and regret selling my speedy b 30 ebene. Now I'm planning buying speedy b ebene again 😖 And I'm also going to buy the speedy b 35 monogram 👜👜👜

If you don't already have a speedy, I vote for speedy 30 b in DE. It is functional and classic. Sienna is good if you already own a speedy, wanting something different. But honestly with all these "new" bag, they will be discontinued in a few years when LV have new bags out. Sienna will be outdated, where speedy will remain as a classic.

Lol I had to laugh at this because I hsf a very similar experience about a year ago when I thought I should finally buy my first LV bag before the next price increase and went to look at the neverfull. Somthing about them unfolding a flat bag in front of me to try on totally underwhelmed me too. [emoji6] I have 2 mini pochettes I use daily as a wallet and I've always loved LV. The canvas will wear totally different than leather but I love it. I tried on a few bags at the store a month ago and was surprised how much I liked the size and shape of the speedy 25. After lots of research and reading this site I'm planning to buy a speedy b 25 in DE when I'm in Paris this summer (with the exchange rate and VAT tax break it's now or never). The LV canvas bags are classic and iconic. You have to think about them differently than your current collection. Once you do, you'll be hooked too. [emoji4]

You make some valid points! I don't have any LV bags, so I've been waiting for "the" bag. I wasn't looking at the speedy until just recently. They are so classic and iconic that I know my first LV bag should be a speedy. I want the 25, is the opening really hard to get in and out of?

I had a regular speedy 25 from 2004. I used it almost daily for five years and then fell out of love when I had kids (no more handhelds for me). In 2012, I caught glimpse of my first bandouliere while out and about and fell in love again. I had always been wistful and wishing that my speedy had a long strap. And now it does!

I purchased a speedyB 25 today.

It's true that it's a classic. I know I will have this bag for many, many years. It's been 12 years and I still love the speedy!

The opening is small but I just work around it. Always have. Hasn't been a big deal for me!

I grew up with the speedy 25 as my mom had one in the 80s. Back then, she bought hers for $185! I did an inflation conversion of how much that bag would be today. It should be approx $450! But since it's a luxury item, LV can double its value. 🙄

Hi all! I'm new to this forum but I felt the need to make one because I need insights on my new speedy b 30. I recently purchased one online and it the handles wrinkles that felt really rough and the side leather trimming has this huge crease on it (maybe from they way they folded the bag for shipment). Anyway, I was just going to try and ignore it since the nearest LV store is 4 hours away...but it's been bothering me so much! I'm just afraid that lv wouldn't exchange the item or that I will receive bad customer service! Please help me on what I should do! All advice are welcome!! Thank you!!

Just wanted to say I had this exact same problem in the exact same area of the bag a few weeks ago when trying to purchase a new speedy b mono. The one I ordered online looked even worse than yours. Then when I went to exchange it in store, all the ones that I examined had it too! The SA said this was "normal". Yeah right! And if it is "normal"...I'm not paying $1500 for that. I'm so bummed. I want a new speedy b but apparently the quality is just going down and down

I have them both. The Speedy definitely holds more and I find it slightly better as a cross body than the Sienna where the base sticks out, That being said, I find that they both are slightly too big to be used as a crossbody, I always carry them with the top handles and only use the strap when I need a hands free option.
I find the Sienna is a little dressier than my Speedy if you want something more casual, I would stick with the speedy.
I should have gotten the Sienna in the pm size. But now I want the speedy b 25 so that solves that problem!
But as someone else said, I believe the Sienna will be dated at some point where as the Speedy is a timeless piece. GLD!

Thanks for your helpful input. Which print will you be getting for the speedy b 25? I think that size makes a cute crossbody. However, with little kids I guess I need to stick with a larger size since I need space to put my things and my kids' stuff.

I have been leaning towards DE these days as I have two little ones as well and it seems to be more baby proof! That being said- I waiver btwn DE and Mono, but probably DE again, since vachetta stresses me out!
I actually don't use my speedy for my kids yet- I have a 7 month old, so she still needs a separate bag for all of her stuff!- I've been using the Bosphore backpack.
You really can't go wrong though- they are both great bags- and you'll be happy with either! GLD!

Got those two new bags today. Speedy 35 monogram & Speedy 30 ebene. Speedy 35 are produced in 2015 and has no zipper on the inside pocket. Speedy 30 are produced in 2016 and has the zippered pocket. Here are som modelling shots. I'm 174 cm for reference 😊
