I just purchased the regular leather Ramona in Khakis a little over two and a half weeks ago. I admit, when I first saw the bag in magazines, it really didn't appeal to me. The price tag itself was a huge turnoff and at the time, I couldn't see myself spending more than $1200 for a bag.
However, I have to say, I am really glad that I took the plunge. I grow more and more in love with the bag every day. It is stylish, yet very functional - I love all the interior pockets and that fact that it is "adjustable" and very easy to use. Due to its size, it looks heavy, but in fact, it's not. I've had other bags that are smaller, but turn out to be a lot heavier. The fact that it is a "shoulder" bag really helps, and it does lie flat against your body once your things are in there. The leather is TDF and of very good quality - I actually had a moment of panic last week when I thought I somehow
"greased"/stained the bag while on the Metro, but whatever the stain was, it disappeared completely after a few hours without me doing anything to repair it. This leads me to believe that I don't have to baby the bag.
I've been reading the lively debate about Jimmy Choo and the price for this bag. Regardless of whatever opinion people have, I think that at the end of the day, the Jimmy Choo Ramona is a great quality bag and well worth the money. It's luxurious and most importantly functional, and I feel really great using it. I think that the line is really starting to take off and people should really give it a chance. They make awesome shoes (I have several pairs) and it doesn't suprise me at all that their handbags are headed (if not already) in that direction.
