The Purse-Love of my Life is gone!

I am hoping if it turns up anywhere, someone will find a way to get it to me. My ID has my current address on in and it does have my business cards in it with current contact info as well.

I have checked all the local sales sites hoping to see it, may check with the consignment shops in town as well. It was a hard lesson to learn, but I'm not bitter over it. I will get a new purse and fall in love all over again...

Wow, so sorry that this happened to you! And I don't think you are being overly dramatic. It's a dreadful feeling to have something lost or stolen -- especially something that you value so much. You absolutely have a reason to go shopping -- good for you for finding that silver lining!

You didn't ask for it either. No one asks for their things to be stolen either. It's unfortunate. You can get another bag but your identity is something else. I hope everything works out. I had my UV duffle stolen from work-behind a locked door-that only employees on my floor had a key to but it was stolen. Never saw it again. Luckily, I didn't have my Coach wristlet that had my ID and CC inside. I took that with me. I eventually got another UV duffle but it still sucks!

So sorry to hear this. :( I would be upset too. I hope you find a new purse.

Someone told me if you leave your purse in the shopping cart, to lock it with
the child safety belt. So if they try and lift your purse out of the cart, they
wouldn't be able to get it out.

I'm sorry about your bag. People suck these days. There's just a lack of integrity that abounds in society now.

I agree with sheisgi...you didn't ask for it. No one is perfect. We all have brain farts occasionally; that doesn't mean we deserve to have things taken from us.

Years ago, I left my Willis in a shopping cart in a Home Depot parking lot. Luckily, someone had turned her in with all contents inside. I doubt I'd be that lucky now.

I hope by some miracle, your bag gets back to you.

I had to look and see what state you are in because I actually found a purse in a Home Depot cart in a parking a couple of year ago. It wasn't yours...I'm in PA. I also found one on the lawn just outside of the jail (the county memorial park is right next to it). That woman was so grateful, she insisted on giving me $20 even though I did not want it, she wouldn't let me refuse. I'm always finding stuff. My biggest find was $430 on the floor of a movie theatre. That young lady was super-grateful; I also left there with a $20 reward. Found money 3 other times on my running route but never found the owners; under $10 each time but it's still money! It pays to have a somewhat low self esteem. I'm always looking at the ground.

I'm sorry about your Bridget :( . I can't imagine finding something that doesn't belong to me and not trying to find the owner. When I found those purses I was frantic to get them back to their owners; I know how I would feel if I misplaced mine--frantic. I saw quite a few Bridgets on ebay last week...you should not have any problems replacing her.

I'm so sorry this happened to you!! It's sad that some people have to be so ignorant and take other's belongings.
I hope you get it back, but if not, just be extra cautious from here on out. This world is unfortunately full of dishonest people.
I hope everything works out for you and I do hope you find another bag to fall in love with.

Oh no!! I am so sorry this happened to you. I always say that is I were robbed, I would give someone all of the contents of my bag before I would hand over my bag. Ugh and the Bridget…such a fantastic bag. I hope you are able to find another. I will keep my eyes open for you.

Also check the lost & found at the post office that services the store's area and watch your mailbox. You can drop a found item in a mailbox and the post office will mail it back if they can find an address. Maybe someone picked it up and dropped it in a mailbox.

I left my purse and Bible at the bus stop several years ago. When I went back to the stop, they were both gone. I figured someone might take the purse, but it didn't make sense that they'd take the Bible too. But a week later, my purse showed up in my mother's mailbox (her address was on my ID) and the week after that, my Bible showed up at my church. (Address on the bulletin)

I hope your purse turns up. I know how devastating it is to lose a purse.

You would be amazed what people will steal. My sister went swimming at the local public pool when she was a teen. She changed into her swimsuit, and she left her clothes, her towel, a couple of bucks in change, and her brand new Nike ACG sandals sitting in a neat pile on a chair while she swam. She came back at the end of her swim to retrieve her stuff and her underwear were missing! The thief didn't take the money or the expensive sandals, just the underwear. She was creeped out to say the least.
