I honestly do not think this bag is worth the money...You know I love it, but I have mixed feelings now... It looks that LV is taking advantage of this crisis to put back the brand on the shelf of exclusive goods...understandable, but surprising. I thought they planned to reach out to masses...
What do you mean when you say exclusive? What exactly are you referring to? Exclusive to who?

This is what I meant by exclusive: restricted in distribution, use, or appeal because of expense or luxurious item.
How exactly does that work though by increasing the price? You do know where there’s a will, there’s a way, right? If people want to buy it they’ll make a way even if it’s expensive or hard to find. Nothing in this world is totally exclusive. If they can’t get it directly from LV they’ll buy on the pre-loved or from resellers often at a premium cost so raising prices does nothing to create exclusivity.

I believe every single thing has its max. price. Would you buy a house for 500 mil. just because you like it and want it? 10 mil. is maybe doable (where is a will there is a way), but not 500 mil. Not everyone can do it. Resellers often sell for more than retail to make a profit and the bags are not new, already have some damage.

Are we comparing purses to houses? I think certain things are a given but yes, people buy houses and cars for that matter that they can’t truly afford or cause financial strain all the time but yes everything has its limit. I doubt LV handbags will get to a million or close to it unless they never want to sell another handbag again. Can we compare apples to apples instead of apples to oranges?

I think you are not getting my point. You can still go to Chinese market and buy a similar purse for $20.00 and I am sure it will serve you the same way like $2,420.00 (+ tax) LV bag.

So I've had my monogram Pochette Metis for 5 years now and while I loved it for the first couple of years, I find that I don't reach for it as often. I've also noticed that it's started to glaze on the sides. I still love the silhouette of it, so I'm thinking of selling my monogram and replacing it with the empreinte leather. Has quality gotten better with the empreinte, meaning I won't see glazing, or will it be the same after time?

I saw many reviews on this bag having issues like you mention for older version and there was a recall, which allows store credit/exchange to another model. Why don’t you take it to the store?

Hi All, new to the thread and would love some opinions!

I was recently able to snag the lovely PM in both the mono and reverse in the wee hours of the morning while stalking the website (thank you insomnia!) and am now having trouble deciding which to keep.

They both arrived without any major issues that I can see; only exception is the reverse was missing it’s plastic protection on the hardware (annoying but thankfully no scuffs!). Mono was made in USA, reverse in France.

Does anyone see anything that I may be missing or not taking into consideration with the composition of the bag? Or, have any personal opinions to share on mono vs reverse? Or, want to sway me into why I should keep em both?

Thanks in advance!

I am curious if you kept both or let one go.
