Purchased the Original Mono yesterday evening! :nuts:

Super excited and I love that I got the classic mono as opposed to, the black Empreinte that was reserved for me.

You and me both. I was just checking out the LV site and decided "what the hell...." and click on it to purchase and it said placed in cart. Thought, "well they likely won't let me buy it..." and it allowed me to buy it. I got lucky. Right timing.

It really does just pop up every now and then on the site. I would just keep it in my favorites and click on it every now and then every couple of days. And it happens.

I also got the Rose colored one the same way. I heard the best time to try is at night. Lol. So if your stalking the website set your alarm for 3am and wake up -click on your phone -then go back to bed. Lol you will eventually snag it!!

Lol Congratulations! My purchase wasn't "smooth sailing" I must confess. First, I tried logging in and was told my password needed to be re-set for my protection as LV was updating their system. Then when I changed my password, my session expired. This went on back and forth a few times and I eventually completed the transaction as a "Guest". Very frustrating for a luxury brand/website.

Funny thing though, originally when I read you should "call for availability" I did just that and was told the mono is unavailable and was placed on a reservations list. Then, 5 minutes later, it was "available" online so I snagged it- despite the online circus obstacles :hrmm: For the hassle, I think they should send me a complimentary iPhone case lol! :biggrin:

that's basically my story too... was told i had to wait several months on the phone and about 10 minutes later i bought it on the website. it just frustrates me that the people on the phone wouldn't know that it's available online within minutes. that, to me, is poor customer service on the part of LV - that each time you call you get conflicting answers and *can* get what you want online without a waitlist or months of an SA working for you. it's a huge negative to me about LV, but at least we got the item we wanted:smile:

Yesterday I called client services after chatting with a rep online who said that there are a few mono available at different stores. Only to be told that I couldn't purchase it because I didn't have a significant purchase history with LV. The rep said I could go into and LV store and have them put me on the wait list. Completely turned me off.

just keep checking and buy it online, it's so must faster and easier to just check there and do it on your own. i got the reverse, not mono, but i saw mono up for a bit yesterday (US site)

I was at the LV store in Oslo, Norway today. I asked if the monogram was being discontinued, and she said no. They have over 50 on the waitinglist, and are not taking more names on the list at the moment.

I'm laughing to myself about all the conflicting information we are getting.

I went to Neiman Marcus today and visited the LV there. They said the mono was NOT being discontinued but just that production cannot keep up with demand. She said worldwide there are more than 700 people on the waitlist though. Ugh. I'm done asking, just glad I see more people able to purchase lately. What a hassle but fun at the same time too! Good luck everyone still on the hunt!
