Mine arrived today. I will tell you where you can try. Garden State NJ. I had one on order from there, supposedly as a transfer. After several days of no word, I called to check. It hadn't even been removed from their stock! They still had two DE PAs there as of last Friday. Maybe, knowing it was in demand, they were saving it for their own local customers?? If you're in that area, try them. If not, good luck.

So, the story has a happy ending...I found one elsewhere. Here is my beauty. I was planning on getting her in fall, but with all the talk of discontinuing, didn't want to chance it.

So glad you were able to get one! My nearest LV is 3 hours driving and I called to see if they had it in stock and they said I had to make a reservation to come in and order it and with all the talk of them being super hard to get ahold of I decided to buy from Fashionphile. Enjoy your new piece!!

I'm surprised the pochette is being discontinued... it seems like such a classic, it's not like no one buys it anymore!! Doesn't make sense to discontinue! maybe it's just being redesigned??!
It is definitely possible that it is redesigned instead of completely discontinued. When the speedy was redesigned (minor things plus a zipper for inside pocket) people had been told it was going to be discontinued.

But since LV and many other designers have been discontinuing plenty of bags lately, bags that I thought were classics to be kept, I don't dare risk anything haha.

Sorry to post another "help me decide" question
For small xbody bags, I have: mono Eva, DE Favorite MM, and ordered a Mono original model Pochette.
Considering putting a pre-loved Epi pochette in Noir on my wishlist - I have a strap to wear it cross body...just trying to decide between it and the DE.
Any thoughts?

Vote for Epi noir!

Rumor is they are discontinuing lesser priced bags to focus on more expensive ones. That does seem to be the trend (Eva, for example). I bet Coach is going to sell a lot of Nolita pouches if they do.

I have a Mono Eva and a DE Favorite MM.
Is it possible to justify also getting the pochette?! I'm having a hard time justifying it...help me out? haha
Yes, definitely go for the Pouchette! I can tell you that I have 2 ~ one mono (from 2002); one DE (purchased last year) and these are among my most used LV pieces! I even purchased long leather straps for both to use as small cross body bags. Otherwise, they are great inside larger bags. If you need another reason... my mono one from 2002 still looks fantastic! I say go for it.;)

Thank you! I have an original model mono coming to me from overseas and I'm excited! I still want the DE or Epi but since I haven't even gotten the mono yet, I'm trying to put the brakes on. I need to use what I have. Sigh. :)

My SA told me in February that the PA is going to be discontinued.. She told me that it originally was a small bag within another bag, and that an actress/model (can't remember the name) stated using it separately as a small bag. It became so popular, so LV started to make it as a separate bag.

I just ordered a preloved PA NM in Rose Angelique vernis, and I'm thinking about getting it in mono as well before it is too late

For some reason the canvas feels thinner or more pliable than my monogram mini pochette that I bought last year - has anyone else noticed this?

Beautiful!! Congrats :). Everytime I get a new canvas item from LV it feels thinner and more pliable haha. I've definitely noticed LV using variations of their canvas for different pieces. The round coin purse for example over time has changed very much so in canvas and it actually makes it easier to open. The speedys have gotten squishier and it gives the bag more of a sag and with it not being so stiff it actually causes less corner wear because if you hit it against a wall or such it's not as rigid of an item hitting that hard wall, therefore causing less wear and tear. There are many discussions all over TPF that I've read of some liking the changes LV makes and others wanting LV to stick to their originality. Some think LV quality is decreasing, while others think it isn't. In my opinion, from being a buyer of this fashion house for ten years, their quality control has gone downhill over the past few years. I think it's a little understandable with the demand they have now, especially with all the new releases. But yes, they do change things up and I have noticed they change the canvas and I sometimes wonder what it'll be like a couple years from now. I find myself moving away from the fashion house slowly but surely and just sticking with my current collection. LV materials are definitely changing, 100%.
