I bought the Eva strap in vachetta since my pochette is in DA for $120. hth ☺Just wondering any one got a replacement strap for pochette accessoires from LV and the cost?
Hi, I asked my friend who went to Japan to get me one for me. She said there's a lot of chains in Japan in great quality! Im just too shy to ask her to buy me 10pcs or more so i can resell it here in SG. heheheMay I ask where you get ur chain from?
+1I think anyone's first LV sould be the classic Mono! You could get a smaller purse in DE!
I agree with everyone else. Very first piece should always be monoOooooo yes!!! Ok ok.... Mono it is.. I think hahaha
I think I'll be going back and forth until I walk out the store!!!
But yes I think you ladies are right, my first LV should be mono....
Hi Kitty Magenta, congrats on your pretty pochette plus strap, I wanted to encourage you to keep the Eva strap, IMHO it's the best strap and it's genuine LV, I've read that this strap is sold at LV for $240 if sold alone, and for $120 if it's a replacement part for an Eva, I think it was fortunate that you were able to get the strap for $120 without owning the Eva, this is my understanding after reading posts about this, someone correct me if I'm wrong on the pricing for this strap.Hi Everyone! I have a really silly dilemma. So I posted earlier last week I got the Pochette nm in DA and I love her. I also bought the long Eva strap to wear her crossbody but I just can't get over the fact that I might ruin the strap because it's been raining non stop here in Chicago. So I also bought the long crossbody chain from Rebirthday B02 but it's not here yet. So I haven't used my pochette DA at all because I don't want to ruin the vachetta Eva strap.
How do you ladies use both straps? I was thinking of actually returning the Eva strap because I'm too scared to use it but DH said just keep it in case I change my mind, I will always have one and I can always sell it at a later time. I wanted to know how do you ladies use the straps? Do you use the chain for everyday since it is cheaper and save the original LV strap for special occasions like weddings and such? Please help a sistah out because I'm torn. Should I return the LV strap and use that money toward another SLG? I paid $120 for the Eva strap and I love it but I'm too scared to use it. Any advise will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I read a few pages back that someone bought just the Felicie chain separate for $130Thank you! The color of my pochette is rose velours from few years ago. It is darker shade of pink than rose ballerine and sort of dusty vintage rose shade. Chain straps go so well with vernis. I wish LV sold chain straps separately.
Thanks for letting me know. I'll ask about it next time I visit the store.I read a few pages back that someone bought just the Felicie chain separate for $130

You are so right. After your reply, I think I'm going to keep it. It is the original LV strap and for $120 it really isn't too bad. But I just thought maybe I can use that $120 on the monogram pochette instead. But now that you mentioned it, I'm going to try the sunlight on the dresser method and maybe it'll get a nice patina. I'm just so scared to ruin the strap when I paid extra for it. Anyway, thank you for your help! You really helped me alot Sayakayumi!Hi Kitty Magenta, congrats on your pretty pochette plus strap, I wanted to encourage you to keep the Eva strap, IMHO it's the best strap and it's genuine LV, I've read that this strap is sold at LV for $240 if sold alone, and for $120 if it's a replacement part for an Eva, I think it was fortunate that you were able to get the strap for $120 without owning the Eva, this is my understanding after reading posts about this, someone correct me if I'm wrong on the pricing for this strap.
The untreated vachetta is a little vulnerable right now because it's new, but it will be safer to use once it starts to develop patina. When I get mono items I like to leave them on my dresser for a few days or weeks to receive some indirect sunlight, and after some time I start to use them and they don't get water spots or stains like fresh new vachetta. You could also treat the leather with AppleGard or Kiwi, if you go into the FAQ's section of this forum you'll find several methods to treat vachetta to avoid spots, then you'll be able to use your strap without worry in any weather.
I consider the leather strap to be very casual and I would use it for daily wear, I wouldn't save it for weddings unless it was a casual ceremony. I hope this helps and you're able to use your pretty pochette as much as possible, enjoy!![]()
I'll look into this too! Thanks for your help!I bought a different leather strap from mcraft that is identical to LV but only $59 and the chain from eBay. I love them both as options depending on how I want it for the day. I don't feel as stressed about rain, having paid half of LV cost.
