Hi! I wanted new jewelry for my upcoming birthday. James Avery seemed to be the way to go since I wanted a charm bracelet so my husband gave me the money for a heart charm bracelet. Instead I took a look at the Pandora website and fell in love. My first purchase was during a promotion, spend $100 and get a free leather bracelet or pay $10 for a silver one. My collection is growing fast. I can't wait to buy more!!! Here's a picture. View attachment 3045874

What is your experience like with the blue leather bracelet? I am interested in leather bracelets too and want to get myself one. Any useful tips? are they easy to look after? Thanks.

The question was not for me but since I have the same leather bracelet, I might as well reply. Got mine a month ago, still looks exactly the same as on the first day and is very easy to look after, just make sure you don't immerse it in water, spray perfume directly on it or wear too many charms, but they will warn you about this at the store too. Also, I wear clips on mine since the charms moving about constantly is a pain in the ***. I usually put two clips and then one or three charms between them so everything stays put, just the way I like it. Also, in order to prevent the bracelet from scratching caused by clips you will need to place those rubber stoppers under them.
As for the size, my wrist is 15 and the leather bracelet I got is in the smallest size. There is plenty of room for my 3-5 charms, that is the number I won't go above for this type of bracelet.

Thank you so much for your detailed information about your leather bracelet. Very useful tips indeed. I should go back to the store and try some.

Can anyone who has pave charms please tell me if you've had a problem with stones falling out?
I've got a fair number of pave charms (older pave light balls, the peacock, the treble cleft, new daisies and ladybug) and haven't got any problem so far.
I've heard few reports on stones falling for charms, but that's what the guarantee is for ;)

That's good to know!

I'm a teacher so I'm trying to decide which Apple I want.

Do I keep the two tone gold silver Apple or do I go for the red and green pave????

Decisions, decisions!!!

Warning: my opinion is totally biased ;)
I would go for the 2-tone apple. I think the pavé charms give a young and trendish look, but also more costume jewelry-like. To me, the silver and 2-tone charms are more elegant and classy, while still remaining fun.

Wow, this is a great point.

And I agree with what you are saying. I guess I am feeling a bit frustrated with the lack of color my bracelet has, except for the murano "folklore" bead that I have.

Would you recommend a petite facets bead for color? I've never seen one in real life, but the photo makes it appear plastic-like.

Also, I had thought about the green stone 4-leaf clover charm to represent prosperity as well as good luck for my new teaching job that I start in August. I wonder if pandora's "gemstones" also give that too young, trendy feel?

Hi! The blue leather bracelet is such a beautiful pop of color to my silver bracelets/bangle. I love wearing it when my clothing are dark blue or black. I don't have any charms on it, but I might add one later. I keep it at the top of my wrist so it doesn't get wet when I wash my hands, I highly recommend it! Thanks!

I'm a newbie (I've only had s bracelet about a week), but I'd split the charms.

You could keep the barrel bracelet *almost* full and put 3-5 charms on the bangle.

That's just my amateur opinion!

I would remove one or two charms (maybe the pendant ones) from the barrel clasp bracelet and put them on the bangle and I would leave the empty heart clasp bracelet at home and wear only the first two. I don't like when the bracelet is empty and the threaded sections are visible.

I guess it's a matter of personal preference but over the years I have seen, both online and in person, some really lovely bracelets which have almost entirely consisted of plain silver charms and they can be really really pretty and classy. I would always opt for such a look rather than the one with too many bright charms or muranos.

Petite facets don't really look plastic but to me they appear lacklustre. I would never choose one of them over the muranos for example.
