Alhought the clips are meant for the threads on the bracelet, you can place them anywhere really as long sd you have the little black things that you put in the clip to stop them from moving about. They cost about 25p from any Pandora shop. It is normal for the charms to move freely.

I like to put a clip after each chain too so that it 100% can't come off... Why would I need the black things in them? Will it damage my bracelet?

Hi all, I know nothing about Pandora jewelry as I don't wear it but I was hoping some of you could help me.

My niece is pretty sure she lost her Pandora bracelet that has been about 8 years in the making. If a doting aunt wanted to step in and prevent a mother-daughter conflagration, would there be any way to help? Is there a record somewhere so I can recreate the bracelet? Does Pandora retire charms? Anything else I'm not thinking of? Thanks!

Hmm, unless your niece tells you what charms she had on her bracelet you won't be able to recreate it. There won't be a record anywhere as I am sure some charms were gifts from family and friends, and some she probably chose herself. However if you really want to buy her a new bracelet, maybe you could choose some new charms to represent her, her family, her hobbies and interests, etc.

That's perfectly fine to put a clip after the chain. The black spongy thing (I can't for the life of me remember what they are called!), are only necessary if you want to put a clip onto any part of the chain that is not a thread. The black thing holds the clip in place so it won't slide about.

Ooh okay, well my clips aren't on the thread because it made it hard to do up. So you're saying that the clips won't damage it? The black things are just to stop the clips from moving?

Exactly. Your bracelet is just new and rigid at the moment. Once it loosens you shouldn't have a problem with doing it up. You should ideally have the clips in the threads though as it helps to keep your charms stay in each section.

Okay phew, was a bit worried then! Yeah I have them on the main two but if I put it on the thread after the chain then the reason it makes it difficult is that it kinda covers the bit of metal which goes inside the clasp! :-)

It's not supposed to be on that thread! My clips are on the threads dividing the bracelet in sections. I have 2 others clips that I use near each side of the clasp. I don't have a safety chain, so it's a good way to prevent the beads from getting stuck on those threads.

I received my third bracelet and dangly piggy charm in the post yesterday! I've organised them all so they're kind of themed.
I have a fairytale theme which I decided to use my new heart clasp bracelet for!

An animal one, I split them into zoo, farm and water. I can never resist all the cute animal charms :-)

And my last bracelet is kinda random, christmas section, travel section (didn't know how else to arrange these 3?) and my one slightly more decorative charm (owl)

I was a bit worried about getting 3 bracelets as I wear my charm bracelets every day so thought it might be too much, and I didn't wanna have to switch them out. But actually, I kinda like how it looks :-)

I really like your animal theme bracelet! The charms look lovely.

Ah I didn't know that, I only had one on there for a while then it annoyed me because it was so awkward to put on so I put it next to the thread! Ah yeah, that's a good idea :-)

The light is weird, but here is my bracelet with the clasp and the clips open, so you can see were they are

I love your 3 bracelets. I thought it would be too much to wear them together, but it actually looks very nice.
