Hi Ladies, I have totally lost my confidence in wearing my Pandora bracelet since my last on spontaneously snapped a couple of weeks ago. I took it back to the Pandora shop, the SA looked at it, told me that it was a one off fault with the bracelet and that I have not over filled it. It was correctly sized to my wrist, I have clips in place etc and they replaced my bracelet. However, I am frighted to wear it in case it happens again. Sounds ridiculous I realise. Has anyone else had this experience before? xxx

I have not experienced this before, but have seen too many snapped bracelets on the Pandora website and worry about my bracelets. I'm thinking about putting my expensive charms on a Trollbeads bracelet (they will fit on there). I have never heard of a Trollbeads bracelet snapping or breaking. It is a very secure chain (foxtail chain I believe) as opposed to the weaker Pandora bracelet (snake chain). HTH!

Thank you, I will look in to this. I do have the bangle also, but I am not sure how I feel about filling it full of charms. Does anyone have one filled with charms? Have you has any problems with the bangle over time? My bracelet was only three months old when it snapped :-( xx

Here's my oxi bracelet with the lion charm I just got (it's retired). I ordered the Stella diamond and midnight bloom clips from Ruelala and I'm wondering how they might look on this bracelet. (ignore the rubber stoppers, they're just there temporarily) I'm also thinking of putting the Stella star on my two-tone. I'm glad Rue has a 30 day return in case they don't work out.

Gorgeous. I can't wait to see how this will look with your new charms. :)

I totally agree with you. I got into Pandora after all the candy Muranos were retired, so there was no chance for me retail-wise. I don't particularly want to buy charms from eBay, so unless I get lucky enough to find someone selling them pre-loved, my only option is to stare longingly at Google photos. Heh!
There are some reputable online sellers of retired Pandora items, like pandorastore.be, in Belgium, jewel hut in Ireland or UK, perlodense in Denmark and some online stores in the US like Ilisa Ilana but I think she only ships to the US. There is one online store in Canada, Charm Junction who has quite a few retired charms, I got my Aqua stripes from them. I have also ordered from Jewel First in UK but they seem to have very few Muranos and some posters have had problems with the condition of the charms but mine were perfect.

I have a bangle with about 14 charms on it. The consensus on this thread has been that the charms will probably eventually scratch the shiny finish of the bangle. (Hasn't happened to mine yet but I don't wear them much since I prefer the snake bracelet.) I find the clasp on the bangle very flimsy, of a much thinner silver than the clasp on the regular bracelet and wonder whether it could get smooshed (sp?) squashed, etc. which would make it unwearable. I wonder if Pandora replaces clasps or just a whole bracelet.?

Unfortunately I live in Singapore, and there are no online retailers in this part of the world as far as I know. There's this girl who does Pandora sprees via Facebook, but I'm not sure if that includes retired charms.

 Beautiful, so dramatic and eye catching.

Have you tried some of the stores mentioned in this thread? The shipping charge isn't as bad as you might think! I paid 10 pounds, I think, for Jewel First to ship to Canada from UK but I bought a few thinks to make it worth my while.

I agree with you about the bangle clasp. I also love the look of it plain. I think I am just going to have to bite the bullet and wear my bracelet and hope it does not snap again :-/ xx

I just read the whole thread from page one up until I started posting and it was really cool getting to know you guys from earlier posts, and seeing the progression of your bracelets going backwards.

Bracelet update! I am playing with the oxi chain for now, but I still love the bangle. I am really torn between the two.

Yesterday, my boyfriend bought me the star charm. I am still not sure how I feel about CZ's... I wish it was a real stone. I would pay extra for a little diamond, but I like the charm itself a lot. He doesn't really like the way Pandora bracelets look, but he is being supportive overall.

I used to wear my bangle 3/4 full and I liked it like that. I changed it because I like to change my bangle often and only wear one charm at a time. But I am planning on getting a 2nd bangle at the next free bracelet promo so that I can put it it back to the 3/4 full design I like.

About your bracelet snapping I think I might know why. Most ladies may know that when you first buy a snake bracelet they are very tight and when you go to close the clasp you have to push a little, there is a bit of resistance in one direction. BUT if you bend it the other way it is a little bit looser. So I think maybe you could try finding the loosest way and make sure that when you put it on your wrist it is not in the tightest position. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Maybe someone else could explain it better.

The other thing I would say is, try to very gently bend it so it will loosen up. It probably snapped because it was in that super tight and rigid position. Like when you have it closed and it is in a tight circle it could snap easy if you hit it on something or rest your arm's weight on it. So like I said maybe try to play around with it to get in in a looser circle. You can tell by looking at the threads and seeing if they are curving towards the clasp (too tight), or if they seem looser then the part right beside the clasp on both sides should be more relaxed. This is my experience anyways. Sorry if this is all very unclear lol I can't think of a better way to explain and maybe it's too late at night for me to be writing paragraphs on here lol
