I always buy in the store to guarantee authenticity and to see it and try it on in person...it's so much more fun that way!
You can guarantee authenticity by buying from an authorised online stockist or a very reputable one like Perlen, though I do agree that walking out if the store with that little white bag does make the purchase feel more special.

OK here's a question - I never use ebay so I'm completely ignorant to basically everything to do with it but I was looking on there and saw some supposed pandora charms being auctioned by b'jewelled. Is this authentic pandora or fakes? Some of people say its the real deal but some people also say that about the lochness monster so I kinda want a second oppinion
I don't know that particular seller but perhaps others will. I can tell you that you can buy genuine Pandora on ebay if careful.

Thanks Stumbeline, I"ll try to take some shots! The dangles do move a lot so I don't know how I feel about it yet. I will find out tomorrow, though it might be best to wear out of the office as it could interfere with typing with all the charm movement.

By the way, I hear your point about not wearing the gold bracelet everyday. Now that I have more gold charms on mine, it is starting to look more like my dream bracelet but it is also preventing me from wearing it regularly, as it just seems too glitzy for every day.

Right!? How funny is that- to have our dream bracelets just sitting in the jewelry box! Maybe that's a good New Years resolution for us: to wear and enjoy our investments more regularly, as they were meant to be enjoyed!

I think I realized another component of my hesitance. Its on my two-tone oxidized bracelet, which seems irreplaceable. I'm afraid of damaging it and just crying cause I can't replace it!

I would definitely say that they were a gift and wanted to know if they are genuine. I am sure stores don't like us shopping online, especially eBay, so may dismiss the charms as fake.

is it exactly why i am feeling bad to ask a salesperson, i feel like even if i said it is a gift(that can be true) i'm sure i will feeling like she said in her mind that i lie and blablabla,
i don't want to lost her time, but well i have gift certificate so i will buying too so may be it help me to felt less guilty

Gosh, I am finding it hard to keep up with this thread! I went away for one night and there are 10 new pages!

Thanks for so many responses. I am still on the fence about the Ripka pearl drop but the postage costs returning it would eat up half of the refund, so I am keeping it for now.

The good news is that I found my gilded cage charm so I didn't leave it abroad after all! It was just somewhere very safe :smile1:.

Thanks Psych, this is my go to bracelet at the moment so I wear it more or less every day rather than only for glam nights out. Those are few and far between since becoming a mother :smile1:

I am glad you think wearing this way is an option.

Thanks darkangel, I appreciate your honesty and from your collection so far, I see that we have pretty similar tastes (when it comes to Pandora anyway ;) )

Missydora, thanks for the great idea! I attach a pic of the bangle with the drops. What do you think? Generally I don't mind moving charms but the dangles on the bangle (what a mouthfull!) annoyed me a little; maybe I will put them within the clips range.

Thanks Pandorarose. I was going to leave the bangle like this. I quite like the minimalist elegant look and this is how I envisaged my first Pandora purchase :smile1:. Also, I had a bangle with about 7 charms on it and within a month it got very scratched to the point that Pandora agreed to replace it. This time I want to be more careful.

What do you think of it with the dangles on?

Thanks Tabitha, we are forever admiring each other's collections :smile1:

And here is a picture of my two tone minus the dangles and plus the newly found gilded cage charm. I am so happy I found it; having wanted it for the longest time, I was pretty bummed at the idea of leaving it abroad...

This bracelet is still a work in progress.

i think your bangle looks very nice with the two dangle, but like you said i think you have to try it on to see if it can works for you. but its look very nice:smile1:, oh and your two-tone looks good aswell, its maybe a work in progress for you but for me its already a stunning bracelet that you can be proud of :smile1:

Yes, definitely a third murano...probably another same pink effervescence to balance it out.

it's what i wanted to tell you to do, buy an other pink effervescense and add it to your bracelet and keep the white murano, i think it would look good

It's also great for advice to each other! Also we can help others with questions too and pictures.:smile1:
Amen to that! I have already ordered some charms from a UK website that were on sale. Pandora is never on sale in Canada, I have no idea why. It seems so unfair. I don't understand why Pandora is so expensive in UK for regular prices as well. I am so glad I found this forum. Now I can get retired charms without resorting to eBay purchases where I am so worried I may be buying counterfeit items.

Having read something that I think Pandorarose and Tabitha discussed a few pages ago about where to purchase Pandora, it got me thinking where most of you source your charms?

Do most opt for Pandora stores or online? Do you generally buy full price or not?

I acquired a lot in a matter of months, however I think I paid full price only for three charms. There is no way I would have been able to afford the collection had I done so. However all the charms have been bought new, mostly through online stockists, although a few came through eBay.
I would say 95 percent of my collection were bought in stores where I can browse the charms IRL, especially those pesky Muranos if you are a little OCD like me. I don't know how many times a SA has said, but they are hand made they are supposed to look different. I accept that but they still have to be within a certain, I don't know, range for me since I regularly buy more than one.

I have bought a few on eBay and I practically hyperventilate when I open the package because I am so worried I got taken. I have only ever bought retired charms on eBay and have returned a few that I felt uncomfortable with.

Now, though, because of this forum I have found countless online legitimate stores in the UK or EU that actually have sales. Amazing!!

Hello all! I went to my local store and treated myself to a few of the new charms to fill out my pink/purple bracelet.
