Love your bracelet - so beautifully designed

Thank you!

Lovely bracelet! These clips are my favourite, I have them on one of mine. :smile1:

Oh do show! :smile1:

Omg! I got the daisy clips the other day and contemplated these... Where did you get them? Any deals xx

Haven't found these discounted anywhere I'm afraid. Certain clips you can almost always find at a deal but not these for some reason :thinkin:

Here is another pic of what the bracelet is like when I replace the white faceted Murano with the my only gold bead (so far :graucho: ). Which one do you prefer?

I have to say I have grown really attached to my bracelet. It is not at all the gold/white/black bracelet I have in mind - that one is a work in progress - but rather it is a hotch potch of all the charms I own meant to go on three different bracelets. Still I think it works somehow..

I am going through a really hard time having lost my dad less than three weeks ago, and sometimes it helps just looking at something pretty, or wearing something that makes me happy.

So girls - super excited - my 31st birthday is early next month. Having had my daughter 7 weeks before my 30th last year and then suffering postnatal depression - we didn't celebrate too much at all... Other than starting my pandora obsession...
Well hubby has said I can have a 'big' present this year - May have to be birthday and Xmas combined but... IM ALLOWED (lol) A PANDORA WATCH! ...and if I am happy to combine birthday and Xmas I can have the white leather diamond bezel imagine watch! So excited! Has anyone else got a pandora watch xx

It's so wonderful wants to get you a nice and meaningful present that will make you really happy. I am all for combining presents too.

...although I've now got my eye in a Marc Jacobs or two x

Marc Jacobs watches are lovely too. As much as I like the Pandora watches, I have to say that I quite like having different brands for different things - as they day 'variety is the spice of life!'

Which way do you think you will go? Maybe leave the final decision up to hubby so there is still an element of surprise?

Thank you!

Gosh, it looks fab.
Sorry to hear about your dad. Maybe an odd question but will you / have you a charm in memory of him ?
I have stayed away from this thread as i could be tempted into starting to fill the sides of mine up and shoudnt as there are more pressing things i need right now such as a rainproof bag !

Geddes! I was wondering where you had gone to :D. Good to have you back.

I would love a charm to commemorate my father but can't find anything meaningul enough. If they had a typewriter, that would be perfect as he was (still having difficulty with the past tense..) a journalist and a writer. My earliest memories are of my dad manically plucking away at the typewriter, way before his first computer...

I would the letter 'J' two tone charm for his initial bit can't find it anywhere; everyone please let me know if you come across one. Hopefully in time, something will speak to me...

For what it's worth he gave me some birthday money in August and I used it to buy the 'D' charm so at least that is from him and with me every day.

P.S. Have you found a rainproof bag solution? Would love to hear.

September two years ago is when my day effectively died having had a stroke ( he actually passed away the following November) so we had two months to sort of prepare for it so my thoughts are very much with you. I am sure something at the right time will appear, and i suppose your D could also be for Dad.

Bags...........trying so hard not to buy a Longchamp one as i have never seen so many people carrying the same bag (albeit different colours) but its looking increasingly likely and the most sensible option, if only i could make up my mind what colour, size and style...............the D of my sir name should have stood for dither :D

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. It is funny how sometimes having something pretty to look at occasionally does help one get through these tough times.

How about the Pandora feather charm to symbolize a quill pen? The professional journalism societies used to have symbols containing feather pens. Redbalifrog also has a dangle of a feather that looks very much like a quill pen, but it has a heart in the middle which is pretty. http://www.moonflowershops.co.uk/redbalifrog/brand_2.html

Again, I'm so sorry about your dad. Give yourself time and patience. It takes a long time before life starts to look good again after a loss so great. :flowers:

I am sorry about your dad passing. Pandora should definitely expand the occupation charms they offer as it is a great way to commemorate - I think a typewriter would be a big hit considering the hours all of us spend typing away ...

on a positive note I found you a two tone "J" - I am getting the letter A from this seller and he seems legit to me and has a pretty big variety of Pandora beads.

Thank you Geddes. I am sorry for your loss too. You know exactly what I am going through...only we had three weeks from diagnosis. It was all handled very badly and we are devastated.

Never thought of my 'D' as dad (perhaps because the word dad begins with a different letter in my mother tongue) but now that you said it, that is all I can think of when I look at that charm.

Longchamp bags, though sickening do to everyone having them, are practical and nice looking. I have a really old one I got in Paris 10+ years ago that is sort of aubergine colour, but it has seen better days. I was thinking to get a black one as it will go with everything, though I really like the olive one too.

Thank you so much for your kindness and comforting words, as well as the charm recommendations.

If I got the letter 'J' it would be for dad and DH ('D' is mine and mum's initial).

Bag lady, thanks so much for finding the 'J'; I was delighted that it is in new condition, though it then says that the stamps have worn off due to age of the charm. Can that really happen?. I thought hallmarks only faded through wear.

I haven't been too hot on mixing Pandora and non Pandora charms but then found this OHM sterling silver typewriter that looks cute and should fit a Pandora bracelet:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B005MJH700/bestjewelrycharms1-20

What do you think? Does anyone have experience with OHM?

Oh what a cute typewriter! I've never seen Ohm beads IRL but Leann at Charmsaddict.com loves them: http://www.charmsaddict.com/category/ohm-beads/brand-introduction-ohm-beads/ She has a bunch of articles and reviews of Ohm beads on her blog.

I popped into a Pandora shop in Reading to pick up a catalogue, but you know what they didn't have any. So disappointing. I thought I could have a peep of the new Essence collection in the catalogue, but there...
