the PANDORA bracelet thread

I have to admit that I am not keen on the bangle, therefore would opt for the two tone bracelet. It would do look much more elegant. The bangle scratches easily and I saw a sales assistant with one in Pandora and hers was all dull from all the scratches on it.

I was looking at a bangle aswell because I love the look, but keep hearing the same thing about the scratches.


On another note, what does everyone think about the new Essence collection that has been announced?
What is everyone's initial thoughts?!

I need some help from you lovely ladies on here. I have 3 muranos. Two pink looking glass muranos and one pink flower murano. The pink flower murano is getting a bit old and I am considering getting a new murano to replace it. I did buy the cherry blossom murano the other week but when I got it home and put it on, it didn't really go with the two looking glass muranos. My bracelet theme is pink so the murano needs to be pink or have pink in it. Can anyone suggest which other pink based muranos would look nice with the pink looking glass muranos? Thanks.x

I think the pink faceted would be nice.

Two tone bracelet, no question! I don't like bangle, to me it feels cheap as its so light, and it scratches too easily, especially with charms on. I also prefer the movement of a bracelet. The c shaped rubber inserts pandora give out go under clips, they do stop them sliding around. The rubber rings to next to charms, they stop them moving but they don't look good.

I like the idea of the essence collection, particularly the more delicate look. But I must say, there are very few charms I like, maybe 2, and I'm not keen on them having silicone on the inside.. I'll need to see them in person I think.

I love the idea of a more delicate bracelet and the fact that the charms wouldn't move... But you're right about the charms - very few that I really like. Think it's a shame there aren't any more interesting charms to start with...

I'm guessing they've done a whole load of market research and this is what customers want(?!)

Aw, chances are they will be real. I have the two tone starburst clip. I've never seen a charm box with what you have described. How odd.

Great news!!!! I went to Pandora store at the mall today. I showed her the clips and asked if they were authentic. She starts out by saying "no...." and I thought she was going to say "no, they're not real" But instead she said "no, those are absolutely genuine"

I am soooo happy!!! I did show her the charm box with the TM after the word Pandora and she said it could just be an older box. I happened to see on their wall they have "Pandora TM" so maybe they did do the charm boxes like that at one time. She did bring out the Sunburst clips they had and we compared them to mine, and they are for sure authentic Pandora

I'm the same as you. I haven't bought anything lately so haven't been on here as much as usual. There are loads of lovely new Pandora addicts on here haha!

The last new thing I got was during the summer holiday when my friend and I went to York for a couple of days and I got the every cloud has a silver lining (I think it's called that!) open works charm. My friend gave me half the money for it as she wanted to treat me to half. Before that I got the two tone crown charm from Unforgettable Moments because they had a sale on, and before that it was the lotus clip. I like some of the new winter charms on Perlen but they are sold out already.

Wow, those sound really nice and how sweet of your friend! The two tone crown is gorgeous. I finally saw it in the store. I bet it looks beautiful on your bracelet.

I was at my local jeweler last week and she let me try on a bangle. She put a gold clip on it (don't know what it's called, but rather large and round). It looked awesome with just the bangle and the one large gold clip in the middle of the bracelet.

Hi I was just wondering if any of you know of any trusted ebay sellers that aren't selling fakes. I'm scared to purchase even with a 100% rating and if they look correct. Here are two that I'm looking at

The first one seems a little too good to be true with the price

I just lucked out with an Ebay purchase, which I had authenticated by Pandora store. I think if you pay with Paypal, and the seller clearly states in the auction that it's authentic Pandora, you're fairly safe. Again, fairly safe being the operative word. I know what you mean though, even with 100% feedback, you still can't be sure because I think a lot of people don't have their charms authenticated by Pandora.

The Perlen situation is...
Pandora have a fixed pricing policy which we are obviously all aware of. This applies everywhere apart from selected Northern & Eastern European countries.
The companies who are 'losing their contracts' are the ones who already sell cheaper than pandora would like, but who sell worldwide... ie Perlen.
The problem pandora has - and they will only admit this by contacting them through their .dk website - is that Perlen are the biggest seller in Denmark; they even outsell Pandora stores there and pandora.dk!!!
So they have agreed to allow Perlen a new temporary contract every time a new collection is released.
It would be such a shame, if they did stop selling, but I think we can appreciate now why they'd prices have definitely crept up a bit!
There is definitely however 1 other European company I know of who pandora have completely cut their contract with - and both pandora and the retailer are very bitter about it.

One of the girls i work with didnt like Pandora but has bought the two leather ones we got free recently off me ! I told her about the Greek charms, she is off to Cyprus at the end of the month so i am hoping she goes that bit further and starts to add charms to them. Oh how easy another addict is born

I get it now when I hear that Pandora is "dangerous". That stuff is seriously addictive! I swore I would only get one charm per month after I bought the standard bracelet and three gold charms, and it's been more like two charms a week... Today I completed the look with a safety chain. I hope I will be able to control myself after this!
