I would like to ask everyone's opinion, and honesty would be appreciated! (If you hate the idea please say! :D)

I have completed my silver/pink/two-tone bracelet and had planned to do a gold/two-tone bracelet on the oxidised silver with gold clasp. I have decided now though that I can't keep on collecting charms endlessly and I need to put my money towards other things! I really do mean it this time too :nono:

So, I need to do one last low-as-possible cost goldish bracelet for more special occasions, as I wear my silver every day. I don't want a full bracelet, I want max 3 beads/1 bead 2 clips.

I have two ideas, the ideal would be a combination of the two, with the gold clasp oxidised bracelet with 3 gold charms, but this option is too expensive for me. In both ideas I'm planning to fix the loose charms with ribbon underneath so they stay in place. I have a feeling that might be controversial!

Idea 1:

gold clasp oxidised, two two-tone clips, central gold charm

Idea 2:

Silver clasped leather with 3 gold charms

I wish I could get a gold clasped leather because it's a shame the silver doesn't match. I also worry about how long the leather would last. On the other hand, I love the bracelet with gold clasp and the gold charm on the first bracelet but the two clips don't really go.

What do you think of the ideas? Any suggestions (within the same sort of price range!) would be appreciated. Many thanks! :smile1:

I would go with 1! Love the look!

I actually like the first one. But, I would recommend going to a store and creating both in real life and trying them on. Sometimes it looks different in the Pandora-designer.

Thank you both, I'm hoping to be able to get to the store and try out the idea once I can drive again. You're right, they can look totally different in real life :smile1:

I'm glad you like the design, I was starting to worry everyone was going to hate it and I'd got it completely wrong!

I like the first one too. But I would go for two toned clips. Doesn't have to be the sun burst clips. There are more two tone clips that you might like.. But I really do like it!

It's hard to tell from the picture but those are two-tone clips! The little raised lumps are gold, it's a lot more obvious in real life. I've seen them in store and think they are probably the ones I like best. I prefer rounded edge clips if they're going tone out on their own so I guess the daisy clips might be another option.

Okay, I didn't see those are two tone clips, so maybe they are the best choice. I also like the ones with the breaded hearts on it. They are round edged too. I'm really looking forward to your pictures! :smile1:

Thanks for your reply and encouragement! :p
I'm very afraid I've developed a bit of an obsession for Pandora. It's like a collection fever or something. I just want to keep collecting but I'm out of cash :shame:

I'm a magpie so bling is always up my alley whether it's a little on the tacky side or not. I just love seeing some sparkle as I wave my hands around (I'm pretty renown for being a hand talker).

I'm working on accumulating another full bracelet, but I think I've run out of funds to complete it the way I want right now. Oh well, there's always next month. I do sometimes wonder if I should stop this obsession and look to other brands like David Yurman, Tiffany's etc.

Are you kidding? Pandora will never become tacky! No matter how many pave charms you put on your bracelet! But that's just my humble opinion... :true:

Agreed. I must say, sometimes when you see those pave charms blown up, it can look overwhelming. But, in person, those cute little charms add just the right amount of sparkle without being too extravagent (ex: fake shambala bracelets) :p

I'm always sensitive to too much bling bc my BF is always commenting on my gawdy style. He likens me to the RHONJ/gypsy-esque rather than the RHONY. I have to admit, I do like to do it up big when I can!

Fishfins, you are thinking exactly like what I was thinking a year or two back! I ended up going with the double leather gold clasp and put two open works beads on it with ribbons underneath them to hold them in place exactly like you are talking about......I really like the fact that the clasp is gold and the two beads are also gold. I think it's almost impossible to find a gold clasp leather anymore. The oxidized gold clasp bracelets are also retired, but I know where they can be purchased if in the US. If you go that way, you could put two gold clips on it and be done or add an additional bead to float in between the clips. Just me, but I would keep it all the same, either all gold or all two tone beads but that's just me. Let me know if you want to see pictures of any of these options......:smile1:

Well I exchanged my bracelet and it went from too small to too big. *sigh* Here's what happened. I ordered from Jared online. My first bracelet was too small. I posted pics. It was 7.1 and so I figured I needed 7.5. I told the SA that I thought I needed 7.5. He took looked at mine and agreed it was too small and brought me what I thought was the 7.5 like I had stated I thought would be the right fit. He put it on and declare "oh YES! Muuuch better." Then he asked me if I wanted him to put my charms on it and so he did. Then he put it back on me and while he was doing that he started going on and on about some jewelry show they are having tomorrow and how I should come. He asked me a ton of questions, where do I live, where do I work, when do I get off work, what do I do, please sign here, come and look at this and I swear to you I was so happy to have a bracelet that fit that I totally didn't even notice or ask if it was the 7.5 or what. My husband was in the car and we had to get back to our city so he could get to work and our daughter was hungry. Oh......anyway I ended up with the 8.3. I am so annoyed but I am not taking this back again. It's a 30 minute drive to Jared from where I live. I am hoping when I fill it up it will fit a little better. It's not in danger of falling off but I think the 8.3 is too big. I don't know why he didn't grab the 7.5 like I said. Maybe he didn't want to say that he thought I needed a bigger size? I dunno, I did tell him I intend to fill it up and that with the two clips and four charms I have so far the 7.1 was way too small. Oh, well, I guess that is what I get for letting him distract me. He tried to get me to buy more charms too. I get sales people need to sell but sheesh. I am clearly out of practice when it comes to shopping. I shop too much online these days and am not used to pushy sales people anymore. I used to be really good and dealing with them considering I used to work sales myself for many years. Next time I am buying from Nordstrom or Ben Bridge since they are both close to me!

I have fat wrists and the 8.3 is too big for me. Take it back.... you'll hate it I promise you! Sorry about the problems you're having... but trust me. Even full it will be too big. Mine was full and it was too big for me.

You're right, I am going to return it. I think I'm just going to ship it though. I so don't want to go back there. I did call them to let them know I was not happy and to ask them if I can send back the one I got at there store and they said yes. I suppose I can't completely blame the SA at the store but perhaps if he had been more focused on customer service than making sales this would not have happened. To be honest I had to work pretty hard to dodge his questions and it was getting intimidated which is not usually like me at all but I am not even kidding he asked me where I lived, worked, where my work was located, what time I got off of work and what I did for work all in one sentence while he was shoving paperwork at me and mumbling to another SA. Then as soon as I signed for the return he wanted me to look at stuff in a nearby case and asked me again if he should put me on the jewelry list. I guess I should have gone in there looking really poor and maybe he would not have been so pushy lol He didn't bring out other sizes for me to try on or even ask me how the bracelet fit. He put it on me again once it was full of charms and he was trying to sell me more charms the entire time I was exchanging the bracelet. "Do you want another Murano, do you want some new clips? We have these blah blah." Anyway, I am not trying to be too hard on him but....I am really disappointed. I have had this thing a week and can't even wear it and looks like I won't be wearing it for a while longer. This particular Jared only has three stars on yelp btw.

Oh SL, it's really too bad that you had such an awful experience!! I would say yes, definitely return it and then find a new store for future purchases. That was NOT appropriate for him to ask such personal questions....that would scare me right out the door! I think you handled it very well!!!
