How much space between the thread on the end and bracelet would I need if I wanted to put a safety chain on? x

I'd say enough so that when the safety chain is put on you can still see at least half of the threads at the end. If you cannot see any of the threads, it might be tight and cause pressure on the clasp. Does that make sense?

The safety chain that clips onto the bracelet definitely needs more room than the kind that threads on. It needs at least a whole bead width at each end.

Hope this helps Tabitha...... :smile1:

Yes it does, great thanks. I've been looking at my friend's bracelet and she has a safety chain on it and it looks really pretty so was considering it .:smile1:

I've been wondering the same thing, so thanks very much NorthShore :) Is it okay to have the threaded type safety chain sitting on the bracelet threads? Does it weaken the threads at all? I saw the clip on kind at the store. Just wondering if it's better than screw on kind, or screw on kind is better? Or maybe it makes no difference?

Has anyone returned items to Perlenodense before and how much would it cost from the UK? I'm afraid that I will buy something that I don't like and will have to return it but don't want to pay tons of money to return the item.

rather than paying for a return back and waiting for your refund i think it would be better just to ebay it as pelens prices are very cheap anyway so you would be any worse off especially as you would have to pay return post etc.

so how have all you lovely ladies been anyone bought anything.

i have been buying charms as xmas pressies whilst i still have abit of spare cash crazy i know but it will take the pressure off nearer to xmas.

i have also just bought 2 wide stripe clips they retired in 2008 but i have managed to get them brand new and at only £30 each i have also ordered the retired lion and perfume bottle so hopefully i should get those on tuesday fingers crossed.

i am also off camping to york on the 2nd june cant wait need a break but i am just hoping we get some nice weather so i can get the barbeque out and have a drink.

oh and if you remember the extra bracelet i ended up with the purple theme which i didnt really mean to do but just had excess charms well i have let that go so i could get something else which i know i shouldnt lmao i will share pics when i have my naughty replacement lol.

I just recently purchased my first Pandora piece. All I originaly wanted was one bracelet with two or three charms. Three and a half weeks later I have two bracelets, two rings, a cute jewelry box and enough charms to nearly complete my silver bracelet. And I'm on a first name basis with the saleswoman at my local Pandora. Is that bad? :p

nope not bad at all but just goes to show how much pandora is addictive really lol.
i think alot of people only set out to own a few pieces but that never happens unless someone is patient enough to wait for gifts etc.

tabitha how old is your bracelet and how often do you wear it?
i just wondered if the charms would still look new on a bracelet that old if they were looked after.
i never want my bracelet to look old lol.
and i know you have had your bracelet for a long while and yours still looks fab.

I think it's fine if the safety chain sits on the bracelet threads as long as its not tight against the clasp to put pressure on it or the threads.

I personally like the thread kind of safety chain better than the clip kind even though the clip kind is easier to get on and off a bracelet thus making it easier to change out and use on different bracelets without having to take everything off.
